The “Select Task” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields must be entered in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Search for task

Task #

The task for which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the task numbers that are similar to the values entered here.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the task to be modified, which could be “Fresh”, “Active”, “Inactive” or "Return". The system lists all those tasks that are in the status specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of tasks irrespective of their status. The system sets the field to “Fresh” by default.

Task Description

Enter the description of the task to be retrieved in full or specify it partially using the “*” character (Alphanumeric, 150). The system lists all the tasks whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.

Base Aircraft Model #

The number identifying the base aircraft model on which the task can be performed (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using “*” character. The system retrieves all the tasks with the base aircraft model number entered here.

Task Applicability

Use the drop-down list box to specify the applicability of the task to be retrieved, which could be  “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”. The system lists all those tasks that are applicable for the item specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of tasks irrespective of their applicability. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Task Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the task to be retrieved, which could be one of the following, “MPD”, “CMM”, “MOD”, “Non-Routine”,  “Others” or all "Active" quick codes with quick code type as "Task Type". The system lists all those tasks that are in the type specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of tasks irrespective of their type. The system displays "MPD" by default.

ATA #

The ATA chapter number to retrieve the tasks that has to be carried out in the system specified here (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using “*” character. The system retrieves all the tasks that are defined for the ATA chapter for which the numbers or similar to the value entered here.

Operations Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the operation type of the maintenance activity. The system lists the following options:

  • “Flight Ops” – Select this option if the task is to be performed during flight operations.

  • “Repair Station” – Select this option if the task is to be performed in the repair station.

By default, the system displays the following based on the value of the process parameter ‘Default Operations type’ defined for the Entity Type 'Task Numbering' in the “Set Process Parameters” page of the “Common Master” business component.

  • ‘Flight Ops’, if the process parameter is set as ‘0’.

  • ‘Repair Station’, if the process parameter is set as ‘1’.

  • “Make” - Select this option if the task has to be performed for manufacturing parts.

If the process parameter "Enforce additional security to manage Operational Type" under the entity type ‘Maintenance Task’ and the entity ‘Task’ is ‘1’, the Operations Type drop-down list box displays ‘Make’ only for users having access to the system activity “Manufacturing Task Library” . Alternately, if the process parameter is ‘0’, the drop-down box displays ‘Make’ regardless of the access rights of the user.

Work Center #

The number identifying the work center  primarily responsible for executing the work unit (Alphanumeric, 30).

Document #

To retrieve tasks associated with specific document, enter the document ID. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using “*” character. The system retrieves all the tasks associated with documents with ID similar to the value entered here.

Maint. Operator #

To retrieve tasks associated with specific maintenance operator, select the maintenance operator from the drop-down list box. The drop-down list box displays the Active Maint. Operator codes linked to the planner group to which the login user belongs, if the process parameter “Allow retrieval/modification of tasks from other Maint. Operator codes in Task Master screens?” under the entity type “Maintenance Planner Group” and the entity “Date Access Rights” is set as ‘0’ for “Not Allowed” in the “Define Process Entities” activity of Common Master. However, the drop-down list box will not display any maintenance operators, if the login user is not mapped to any Active planner group.

Alternately, if the process parameter is set as ‘1’ for Allowed, the drop-down list box will display all the Active maintenance operators defined in Common Master.

Note: The system retrieves only those tasks, which are awaiting “Authorization”, as identified in the “Workflow” business component.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Task Applicability

Indicates whether the task is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”.

Base Aircraft Model #

The number identifying the base aircraft model on which the task can be performed

Task #

The number identifying the task.

Revision #

The task revision number that helps in tracing the changes made to the task.

Task Description

The description of the task.

Operations Type

The operation type of the maintenance activity.

Task Class

The class to which the task belongs.

Status

The status of the task.

Revision Date

The date on which the changes were made to the task.

Task Type

The type of the task, which could be “MPD”, “CMM”, “MOD”, Non-Routine” or “Others”.

ATA #

 

The ATA chapter number to indicate the system in which the task must be carried out.

Work Center #

The number identifying the work center.

Authorization Comments

The comments recorded on task authorization.

Cancel Tasks

Note: You cannot cancel the task associated with a maintenance operator that is not mapped to the planner group of the login user, if the process parameter “Allow retrieval/modification of tasks from other Maint. Operator codes in Task Master screens?” under the entity type “Maintenance Planner Group” and the entity “Date Access Rights” is set as ‘0’ for “Not Allowed” in the “Define Process Entities” activity of Common Master.

Selecting task for modification – An overview

Edit Task - A summary of the activity

You can select the task to be modified. If you know the task and the revision number to be modified, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the task number, status, description, type, task applicability and base aircraft model number. The details of the selected task, such as the task number, its revision number, status, revision date,type, its applicability and base aircraft model number are displayed.
