Select the “Manage Task File Attachment” activity under the “Maintenance Task” business component.
The “Manage Task File Attachment” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following fields “Search Criteria” group box:
Task Details |
Use the drop-down list box and select one of the following search values. You can enter the value corresponding to the selected option in the editable text box provided alongside, to retrieve the matching file mapping details.
The system lists all the records matching the task details entered. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve the file mapping details irrespective of the task details. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Addl. Search On |
Use the drop-down list box and select one of the following additional search values. You can enter the value corresponding to the selected option in the editable text box provided alongside, to retrieve the matching file mapping details.
The system lists all the records matching the value entered. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve the file mapping details irrespective of the additional search details. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Task Status |
Use the drop-down list box and select the status of the task as “Active”, “Inactive”, “Fresh”, “Return” or “Cancelled”. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve the file mapping details irrespective of the task status. By default, the system displays the following:

Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search details in the multiline.
Enter the following in the “Search Results” multiline:
Task # |
The task to which the file is to be mapped. Mandatory. The task number entered must be valid. Help facility available. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the task. You must enter Revision # or Aircraft Model #. |
Note: The Task # - Revision # combination must be valid and in ‘Active’ status.
Enter the following in the fields:
Aircraft Model # |
The model of the aircraft. You must enter Revision # or Aircraft Model #. The aircraft model number entered must be in ‘Active’ status. Help facility available. |
Part # |
The code identifying the part. The part number must be in ‘Active’ status and must be of Part Type “Component: or “Expendable”. You must leave this field blank, if the ‘Task Applicability’ is “Aircraft”. Help facility available. |
Maint. Operator # |
Use the drop-down list box and select the code identifying the maintenance operator. The system lists all the active IATA # code defined in the 'Create / Edit Airline Operator' activity of the “Common Master” business component. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Aircraft Ownership |
Use the drop-down list and select the ownership of the aircraft as “Owned”, “Leased”, “Leased Out” or “Customer”. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Owning Agency |
The owning agency of the aircraft. The owning agency entered must be in ‘Active’ status. Help facility available. |
Customer Task Card # |
The number identifying the customer task card. |
From Aircraft MSN |
The starting manufacturer serial number of the aircraft in the range of aircrafts for which the task-file mapping details need to be updated. The MSN entered must be valid. |
To Aircraft MSN |
The ending manufacturer serial number of the aircraft in the range of aircrafts for which the task-file mapping details need to be updated. The MSN entered must be valid. |
Seq # |
The sequence in which the files must be printed. Mandatory. |
Tech Doc. Sys Owner |
Use the drop-down list box to select the owner of the Technical Document System. The system lists all the owners defined in the ePubs application. Technical Document Systems are external document management systems through which aircraft maintenance documents or reference manuals provided by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are made available. (Given as pop-up in OLH) By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Task Reference # |
The reference number of the task. Help facility available. |
Folder Name |
The name of the folder in which the file is located. |
File Reference # |
Any reference to the file. |
File Name |
The file name mapped to the task. Help facility available. |
Note: You must enter either ‘Task Reference #’ or ‘File Name’.
The fields ‘Tech Doc. Sys Owner’ and ‘Task Reference #’ are not visible in the multiline, if Task Card Authoring is not done in ePubs application.
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:

Indicates whether the entered file is available in the specified folder in the FTP path. The system displays one of the following values:

Indicates the location where the file name is specified for the task retrieved in the multiline. The system displays the following:

The type of the task. |
Task Applicability |
The applicability of the task which could be “Aircraft”, “Component” or “Engine”. |
Task Status |
The status of the task which could be “Active”, “Inactive”, “Fresh”, “Return” or “Cancelled”. |

Remarks |
Any remarks related to the task-file mapping. |
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:
Last Modified By |
The login name of the user who last modified the file mapping details. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the task was last modified the file mapping details. |
Click the “Check File Availability” pushbutton to determine the availability of file in the specified folder in the FTP path.
Note: Ensure that at least one record is selected in the multiline for processing. The system considers only 50 records for processing at a time, on clicking the “Check File Availability” button.
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the task-file mapping details.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “View File” link to view the file associated to the task.
Select the “View Task” link to view the task details.
Select the “Upload Documents” link to upload the files.
