This page allows you to inquire on the free stock that would be available for a part on a given date. Tell me more.
Select the “Inquire Free Stock” link under the “Stock Planning” business component.
The “Inquire Free Stock ” page appears.
The system displays the following field:

Date Format |
The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following in “Review Details” group box:

Stocking Location |
Use the drop down list box to select the location of stock for which details must be retrieved. The system lists all the stocking locations defined in the “Storage Administration” business component. |

Free Stock Level |
Use the drop down list box to indicate whether the details must be retrieved for “Stocking Location” or “Warehouse”. Zoom facility available. |

Warehouse # |
The number identifying the warehouse for which free stock details must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component. |

Data entry in this field is mandatory, if “Free Stock Level” is set to “Warehouse”. | |

Note: Ensure that for the selected warehouse number, reservation is allowed in the “Stock Administration” business component. |

Part # |
The number identifying the part for which free stock details must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 40) Mandatory. Ensure that part number entered here is already defined in “Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. |

Required UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the part is required, (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the UOM entered here is already defined in the “Create UOM” activity of the “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component and is in “Active” status. |

If you leave this field blank, the system displays the UOM in which the part is stocked. | |

Required Date |
The date for which you wish to view the free stock details (Date format). Mandatory. The date entered here must be in the format displayed in the “Date Format” field. The date entered must be later than or same as the system date. |

Warehouse description |
The textual description of the warehouse as defined in the “Storage Administration” business component. |

Part Description |
The textual description of the part as defined in the “Part Administration” business component. |

Stock UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the part is stocked, as defined in the “Part Administration” business component. |
Note: If there are no entries for a part, the current physical stock in the warehouse is displayed in the Stock UOM field.

The code identifying the warehouse. |

Warehouse Description |
The textual description of the warehouse. |

Free Stock Qty |
The quantity that would be available as free stock, on the inquired date. |
Click the "Search” push button to get the free stock information:
The system displays the following field:

Total Free Stock Quantity |
The total quantity of free stock that would be available in all the warehouses on the inquired date. |
Check the box in “Select” column of the multiline, to view the firm receipts for the free stock available in a particular warehouse.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “View Free Stock Details” link at the bottom of the page, to view the firm receipt details of the selected free stock.

The system displays the free stock information for every warehouse and the total free stock quantity that would be available in all the warehouses.
Note: For details on calculation of free stock, refer the Application Reference Manual.
View details of free stock on a given date
View details of free stock on a given date
You can view the free stock that would be available for a part on a particular date, in a particular warehouse or stocking location.
Select the stocking location in the “Stocking Location” field.
Use the “Free Stock Level” field to indicate whether the details must be viewed for a warehouse or a stocking location.
Select the part in the “Part #” field.
Enter the date for which you wish to inquire, in the “Required Date” field.
The system calculates the free stock that would be available for the part on the inquired date, and displays the details in the “Free Stock Information” multiline.
