Managing Customer Request – A summary of the activity
This activity enables you to record and manage request for quotation by a customer. You have the option to record request for a quotation for Part Sale or Exchange or Service. Also an already created request details can be modified in this page.

Modify already created customer requests
Register the Contact details of a Prospect (i.e.) Customer who is not registered in the system as a regular one
Define contact details valid only for this transaction for existing customers
Check the Part Availability before raising an RFQ
Provide the Terms and Conditions for Shipment
Request for Quotation for Parts not defined in the system
Mention Expected Delivery Date in the requests
Option to decide not to process a request into a Quotation
This screen can be launched as a left pane activity or from customer portal. Prospect identification in customer portal shall be managed by the login using the Guestrole defined in the Define Process Entities screen.
Automation of customer requests from part sales, repair or exchange into customer orders based on option settings.
Processing Customer Requests into Customer Order
The system processes the customer requests only if the following conditions are true:
CR’s with Request Type as Order
CR’s with status as ‘Confirmed’
For Sales if the parameter "Auto Generation of Part Sale Order on confirmation of Customer Request for 'Sales' " is set as 'Yes' or 'Yes Based on Rules.
For Repair, if the parameter "Auto Generation of Customer Order on confirmation of Customer Request for 'Repair' " is set as 'Yes' or 'Yes Based on Rules.
For Advance Exchange if the parameter "Auto Generation of Customer Order on confirmation of Customer Request for 'Advance Exchange' " is set as 'Yes' or 'Yes Based on Rules.
Note: The system does not perform Request Processing if the parameter for the Auto Generation of Customer Order for all or any one of the business lines (Sales /Repair/Advance Exchange)is set as 'No'
