Recording core information

 

Note: Ensure that a default numbering type is defined in the “Document Numbering Class” business component for “Customer Request" in case a request number for Repair is not already generated.

Applicability

Use the drop-down list box to specify the whether the customer quote is applicable for the part or aircraft. The system lists the following options:

·         Part – Select this option if the request is associated with a part.

·         Aircraft – Select this option if the request is associated with an aircraft.

By default the system displays “Part” in this field.

The system displays the following fields in the “Core Info” tab:

Line #

The line number reference for the Core Part entered.

Error Message

Message indicating action to be performed to successfully generate a customer request. This field shall be displaying the various errors pertaining to a selected record on performance of any action in the screen affecting the multiline, (i.e.) Save or Confirm or Cance

Core Part #

The number identifying the core part (i.e.) Part # in which repair needs to be done. The system displays this field only  if the “Applicability” is selected as ‘Part’.

Mfr. Part #

The manufacturer part number of the corresponding to the Core part #.

Ensure that the number entered in this field is a manufacturing part number associated to the specified Core Part # as defined in the “Parts Administration” business component. If value is not entered in this field, system will retrieve the Part #.

Mfr. #

The manufacturer of the part for repair.

Serial #

The serial # of the part that needs to be serviced, if the part is a Serial-controlled part.

Ensure that the number entered in this field is valid for the specified Part #.

Mfr. Serial #

The manufacturer serial number of the part that needs to be serviced.

Lot #

The lot # of the part, if the part is a Lot-Controlled part.

Ensure that the number entered in this field is valid for the specified Part #.

Mfr. Lot #

The manufacturer lot # of the part, if it is a Lot-Controlled part.

Core Qty.

The quantity of the core Part-Serial/Lot # combination that needs to be serviced. Mandatory.

Ensure the following:

·         The quantity entered in this field is an integer.

·   For exchange request ensure that the quantity entered in this field is less than or equal to the Requested quantity for the given part number.

Core UOM

The unit of measurement of the core part. Mandatory.

Ensure that the UOM entered in this field is valid.

Removed From A/C Reg. #

The number identifying the aircraft from which the part was removed for maintenance.The system allows modification in this field

Ensure that the value entered in this field is a valid aircraft registration number as defined in the Aircraft Master

Removed From A/C MSN

The manufacturer serial number of the aircraft from which the part was removed for maintenance.

Mfr. Part #

The number identifying the parent part from which the part is removed for repair.

Removed Mfr. #

The number identifying the manufacturer number of part from which the manufacturer number of the part from which the Core Part was removed.

Removed Serial #

The serial number of the parent part from which the part was removed for repair.

Removal Station

The station where the part sent for maintenance has been removed from the Aircraft.

Removal Date & Time

The date and time of removal of the part.

Ensure that the date entered in this field earlier than the current date and time.

Reason #

The cause of removal of the part from the parent part.

MOD Instructions

Any instructions pertinent to the modification of the part.

Cust. Maint. References

Any guidelines from the customer on the maintenance of the part.

Job Card References

Any job card related to the part.

Discrepancy References

Any discrepancy related to the part.

Receipt Comments

Details of its condition at the time of receipt of the part for maintenance.

Contract #

The identification number of the service contract under which the repair of the Core part – Serial # needs to be made.

More details on the maintenance of the part with regard to the quotation.

Notes

Any notes pertained to specific part line/details in the request.
