Set Options for Rental Order – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to set default options for the various fields in the activities of the “Rental Order” business component. You can also modify the options that are already defined. You can set the following options in this activity:
Specify whether rentable part must be associated to the customer or not
Identify the part types that are allowed for rental order
Specify whether rotables in the Next Higher Assembly (NHA) can be considered for renting
Indicate whether minimum stock rule must be enforced before creating rental order
Specify whether standard cost, standard sales price or part price list can be defaulted as base price for part
Indicate whether base price can be edited or not
Specify the default markup factor and indicate whether the markup factor can be edited or not
Specify whether the rented part can be returned to a different location
Indicate whether alternate part number, condition or serial number can be issued
Specify the rental charge calculation period, which would be from part issue to part receipt date, or customer receipt to part shipment date.
