Manage Quote Workings - A summary of the activity
This activity enables you to perform Quote Workings against a bid proposal and arrive at a fixed price to be quoted to the customer. You can record estimates, compute prices and arrive at a Fixed Price.
Two screens enable in the process of quote workings and estimations:
Create Quote Working Document - In this screen, you can create a new Quote Working Document for a Bid Contract. From this screen you can navigate to the ‘Manage Estimates & Quote Workings’ screen.
Manage Estimates & Quote Workings - In this screen, estimations can be managed based on the role of the login user, either Planner or commercial representative based on option settings.
Creating quote working document and managing estimations can be performed through three different user login roles as given below:
Planner Role – This login user
can launch the screen through the ‘Record Work Estimates’ activity under
the ‘Work Monitoring & Control’ business component.
Note: The system displays only the Working tab for the Planner role in the Manage Work Estimates & Quote Workings activity.
Commercial Role – This login
user can launch the “Manage Estimates and Quote Workings” activity from
the “Contract Details” tab of the Manage Sale Contract business component
under the Sales Setup business process.
User managing both Planner and Commercial Roles – This login user
will be given visibility for both estimation and quotation.
