Modifying the quality attributes of the part
This page can be used to capture the quality attribute details of the part. Tell me more..
Select the “Edit Quality Attributes” link from the bottom of the “Create Purchase Request” page or “Edit Purchase Request” page.
The “Edit Quality Attributes” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “PR Details” group box:
Purchase Request # |
The number that identifies the purchase request. |
Status |
The status of the purchase request. The system ensures that the status is in “Draft” or “Fresh” |
Enter the following in the “Part Details” group box.
Line # |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the line number of the part for which the quality attribute details must be entered. The system displays the line numbers of all the parts, whose quality attribute is either “Standard” or “Custom”. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton provided along side, to retrieve the part details.
The system displays the following fields:
Part # |
The part number of the selected line number. The textual description of the part. |
Mfr. Part # |
The number provided by the manufacturer of the part. |
Condition |
The condition of the part. |
Quality Attribute |
Indicates whether the quality attribute is “Standard” or “Custom”. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Attribute Details” group box:
Attribute Code |
The code that identifies the quality attribute of the part. |
Attribute Type |
The type of the quality attribute, which could be “Qualitative” or “Quantitative”. |
Attribute Description |
The textual description of the attribute. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the part is purchased. |
Enter the following fields:
Minimum Value |
The minimum quantitative value assigned to the attribute of the part (Decimal). Mandatory, if the attribute type is quantitative and the “Quality Attribute” is set as “Custom”. |
Maximum Value |
The maximum quantitative value assigned to the attribute of the part (Decimal). Mandatory, if the attributive type is quantitative and the “Quality Attribute” is set as “Custom”. Ensure this value is greater than “Minimum Value”. |
Standard Value |
The standard value assigned to the attribute of the part (Decimal). Mandatory, if the attribute type is quantitative and the “Quality Attribute” is set as “Custom”. Ensure this value is between the “Minimum Value” and “Maximum Value”. |
You cannot modify the “Minimum Value”, “Maximum Value” and “Standard Value”, if the quality attribute is set as “Standard”.
The system displays the following field:
Std Qualitative Value |
The standard value assigned to the attribute of type “Qualitative”. For example, light pink could be a standard qualitative value for the attribute “Color”. |
Enter the following fields
Trackable |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the attribute is trackable or not. The system lists “Yes” and “No”, as options. The system displays “No”, if no prior value exists. |
Remarks |
Any comments regarding the modification of the quality attribute of the part (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Click the “Edit Quality Attributes” pushbutton, to update the modifications.
The system stores the login id of the user and last modification date with the system date.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the purchase request. |
Created Date |
The date on which the purchase request was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the purchase request. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the purchase request was last modified. |
Modifying the quality attributes of the part – An overview
This page can be used to capture the quality attribute details of the part. On specifying the line number of the part, the system displays the part description, condition of the part and quality attributes inherited by the part. You can modify the attribute values for the part such as minimum, maximum and standard values.
You can also specify if the attribute is trackable or not. When an attribute is trackable, it is possible to inherit the attribute to the lots and serial number of the part. This enables you to modify the actual attribute values at any time when these values have been altered.
The system stores the login user id and server date along with the modified details.

You can modify the minimum, maximum and standard values for the part whose “Quality Attribute” is set as “Custom” and the attribute type “Quantitative”.
Enter the minimum quantitative value assigned to the attribute of the part, in the “Minimum Value” field.
Enter the maximum quantitative value assigned to the attribute of the part, in the “Maximum Value” field.
Enter the standard value assigned to the attribute of the part, in the “Standard Value’ field.
Click the “Edit Inspection Details” pushbutton, to update the attribute details.
