Maintain Kit Composition – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to add the kit composition details, for a newly created part. You can also modify the composition details of the kit.

A kit is a collection of multiple spare parts supplied as a whole by the manufacturer. Kits are generally used as a complete entity in the execution of any maintenance activity. Defining a kit composition involves identification of the individual parts (along with their quantities) that make up the kit. The individual part numbers will also be valid parts existing in the inventory.

The “Select Part #” page allows you to search and select a part number for updating the kit composition details. The “Maintain Kit Composition” page allows you to define the individual parts, which make up the kit. You are provided with Help facility for the part number.
