Activate/Inactivate/Return a maintenance program – An overview
This page enables you to select an aircraft maintenance program and allows you to activate, inactivate or return more than one maintenance program at the same time. You can carry out a search based on the maintenance program number, its status, program description, program category, the aircraft on which the maintenance program can be performed and the primary model for which the maintenance program is applicable. Based on the search criteria entered, the system retrieves the maintenance programs in the multiline. You can select more than one program from the multiline and carry out one of the following:
Activate – You can activate a program only when the program is in the “Confirm” status. The status of the program is set to “Active”.
Inactivate – A maintenance program that is in the “Active” status can be inactivated. The status of the program is set to “Inactive”.
Return – If the program cannot be activated it can be returned back for further modifications. Only a maintenance program that is the “Confirm” status can be returned. The status of the program is set to “Return”. A returned program can be further modified and then confirmed to be activated again.
You are also provided with the option of deleting all previous revisions of the maintenance program on activating a specific revision. There can only one aircraft maintenance program and revision # combination in an " Active" status.
