Create aircraft maintenance program quick codes – A summary of the activity

Quick codes act as additional qualifiers for a business entity or document. Quick codes can assume user-provided values, which can be used to categorize or group an entity or document. You can define quick codes to satisfy your organization's specific needs, especially with respect to unique reporting requirements.

In this activity, you can create quick codes, which are user-defined values, for categorizing work package and maintenance programs based on any user-defined criteria. The basic quick code types, “Package Category” and “Program Category” are defined in the system. You can define the quick code values for these quick code types.

The quick codes defined for “Package Category” are later used in activities, where the work package is classified. The quick codes defined for “Program Category” are later used in the “Create Aircraft Maint. Program” activity, where maintenance programs are classified. The classification of work package, based on quick codes, is to enable effective data analysis and reports generation.
