The “Select Maintenance Change Request” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR for which the details must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 18).

To search for MCR

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR that you wish to view. You can enter the MCR number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all MCR numbers that are similar to the number entered here.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the MCR to be viewed. The system lists the following options:

 
  • Fresh – Select this option to view the details of the MCR in “Fresh” status.

 
  • Confirmed - Select this option to view the details of the MCR in “Confirmed” status.

 
  • Revised - Select this option to view the details of the MCR in “Revised” status.

 
  • Processed – Select this option to view the details of the MCR in “Processed” status.

This field is left blank by default. If you do not wish to specify the status, you can leave this field blank

Source

Use the drop-down list box to select the source from where the MCR was released. The system lists the following options:

 
  • Internal – Select this option to retrieve MCRs that were released by the internal marketing or engineering department.

 
  • External – Select this option to retrieve MCRs that were released by the supplier, OEM or the regulatory authority.

Source Doc Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the modification document (MCR) or the source document. The system lists the active modification document types created in the “Create MCR Document Type” activity of the “Common Master” business component that corresponds with the source selected in the “Source” field. By default, this field is left blank.

ATA #

The ATA chapter on which the MCR must be executed (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the ATA number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all MCR numbers raised on the ATA number entered here.

Manufacturer Name

The name of the manufacturer who issued the MCR (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the manufacturer name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists the MCR numbers issued by the manufacturer specified here.

Issue Date – From

The date on which the maintenance change request is issued (Date Format). The system lists all the MCRs that have issue dates on or after the date entered.

Issue Date – To

The date on which the maintenance change request is issued (Date Format). The system lists all the MCRs that have issue dates on or before the date entered.

Aircraft Model #

The number identifying the aircraft model (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the aircraft model number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all MCR numbers associated to the aircraft model specified here.

Part #

The number identifying the part on which the MCR must be executed (Alphanumeric, 40).  You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all MCR numbers for the part number entered here.

Note: If you have entered the dates in both the fields, then the system retrieves all the dates falling between the dates entered.

Applicability

Use the drop-down list box to select the applicability of the MCR. The system lists the options “Aircraft”, “Component” and “Engine”. The system retrieves MCRs of the applicability specified here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the MCRs irrespective of their applicability.

Additional Search

Use the drop-down list box to select the search criteria. The system lists the options “Mandatory?” and “Reliability Impact?” along with a blank value.

  • Mandatory – Specifies whether the issue of the MCR is mandatory.

  • Reliability Impact – Specifies whether the MCR has reliability impact.

 

Use the drop-down list box and select the value based on which the MCR details is to be retrieved. The system lists the values based on the option selected in the previous drop-down list box.

  • If ‘Mandatory?’ is selected, the system lists the values ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ along with a blank value.

  • If ‘Reliability Impact?’ is selected, the system lists the values ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ along with a blank value.

Ref. Doc. #

To retrieve the MCR associated with specific reference document, select the reference document type from the drop-down list box and then enter the document # in the input box alongside. The drop-down list box displays all the Active document types defined in the “Create Reference Document Type” activity of Common Master. You can enter the reference document # in full or specify it using the “*” character intermittently.

The system retrieves those MCR that were created based on the reference document with # similar to that you enter here.

The system displays the following details in the “Search Results” multiline:

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR.

Subject

The textual description of the MCR.

Revision #

The revision number of the MCR.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs.

Source

The category, to which the source belongs, which could be either “Internal” or “External”.

Mandatory?

Indicates whether the issue of the MCR is mandatory or not.

Reliability Impact?

Indicates whether the MCR has reliability impact or not.

MCR Class

The nature of execution of the MCR.

ATA #

The ATA chapter on which the MCR must be executed.

Regulatory Authority

The code of the regulatory authority who issued / approved the MCR.

Status

The status of the MCR which could be “Fresh”, “Confirmed”, “Revised” or “Processed”.

Issue Date

The date on which the MCR is issued.

Applicability

The applicability of the MCR which could be "Aircraft", "Engine" or "Component".

Selecting MCR for viewing details – An overview

View MCR - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to select an MCR to view its details. If you know the MCR number to be viewed, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the MCR number, status of the MCR, source, ATA chapter number, source document type and the name of the original equipment manufacturer. The details of the MCR, such as its subject, revision number, source document type, source, MCR class, the regulatory authority who issued or approved the MCR, ATA chapter and the status are displayed.
