Plan Gate Maintenance – A summary of the activity
After their arrival or before departure, flights are halted at the gates in the terminals of the airport stations for specified duration. Generally, line maintenance activities are performed, when the aircraft arrives at a station. This activity allows you to plan the line maintenance activities to be performed on an aircraft at the designated gate, based on the routing plan.
In this activity, you can create or update a line package consisting of multiple work units that are defined for the aircraft registration number, update the routing plan details of the flight number and leg number, and assign work groups to different gates, to execute the line package on the flight.
This activity also allows you to assign a set of skilled employees to a gate at work unit level or line package level, for specified time period.
