Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

You can update the routing plan details such as the expected arrival / departure date and time, flight status and work group, for a particular flight and leg number between the scheduled arrival and departure stations.

Note: On launch of the page, the system retrieves the following details in the multiline, if routing plan exists for the given plan date, station number and terminal number.

Flight #

The number identifying the flight for which the routing plan must be updated (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. The number entered here must be a valid flight number defined in the “Flight Assignment” business component

Leg #

The number identifying the leg in the journey (Integer). Mandatory. The leg number entered here must be valid for the flight number, as available in the “Flight Assignment” business component.

From / To Station

Use the drop-down list box to specify the station from where the flight departs, or to which the flight arrives. The system lists all the applicable stations.

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft registration number of the flight (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. The aircraft registration number must be valid and active, as defined in the “Aircraft” business component.

Note: Ensure that the aircraft registration number is not assigned to a different flight and leg, on the same flight date.

Gate #

The number identifying the gate applicable for the flight number and leg number (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The gate number entered here must be available in the given terminal and station combination, and should be active for the given flight date. By default, the system displays the standard gate that is defined for the flight number and leg number.

The system displays the following field in the multiline:

Sch. Date & Time

The scheduled date and time of the flight.

Expected Date

The expected date of arrival or departure of the flight (Date Format).

Expected Time

The expected time of arrival or departure of the flight (Time Format).

Flight Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the flight type.

The system lists the following options:

  • “Arrival”  - If the destination station, corresponding to the flight and leg combination, is the current station.

  • “Departure” - If the starting station, corresponding to the flight and leg combination is the current station.

 By default, the system sets this field to “Arrival”.

Flight Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the flight status. The system lists the options “On-Time”, “Delayed” and “Canceled”. By default, the system sets this field to “On-Time”.

Delayed By (Hrs)

The time period by which the flight arrival or departure is delayed (Time Format). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if you have set the “Flight Status” as Delayed”.

You must leave this field blank, if aircraft routing plan is not available for the flight and leg in the “Flight Assignment” business component.

Note: If you have set the “Flight Status” as “Delayed”, you must enter the “Delayed By (Hrs)” field. Also, the “Sch. Date and Time” should not be the same as the “Expected Date” and “Expected Time”.

If you have set the “Flight Status” as “Canceled”, you should not enter the “Delayed By (Hrs)”, “Expected Date” and “Expected Time” fields.

If you have set the “Flight Status” as “On-Time”, you should not enter the “Delayed By (Hrs)” field. Also, the “Sch. Date and Time” must be the same as the “Expected Date” and “Expected Time”.

Work Group #

The number identifying the work group that is assigned to execute the line package, for the given plan date, flight number and leg number (Alphanumeric, 20). The work group must be defined in the “Hangar Maintenance” business component with applicability as “Line”, and should be active for the given flight date. By default, the system displays the default work group that is assigned to execute the line package, if work group assignment exists for the gate.

Note: You can modify the work group that is assigned to the gate and flight number.

The system displays the following fields:

Work Plan Status

The status of the line package, which could be one of the following:

  • “Package Created” – If a line package exists for the flight number, leg number, flight date and station number, and if no technical log exists for the line package.

  • “Tech. Log Created”  - If a line package exists for the flight number, leg number, flight date and station number, and if a technical log exists for the line package.

  • “Not Planned” – If no line package exists for the flight number, leg number, flight date and station number.

Journey Log #

The number identifying the journey log created based on the line package.

Journey Log Status

The status of the journey log.

Tech Log #

The number identifying the technical log created based on the line package.

Tech Log Status

The status of the technical log.

Any general information pertaining to the routing plan (Alphanumeric, 255).
