Managing Equipment details

Page Overview: You can record details of equipment deployed during leg # of the trip including name, weight, and position details.

Select “Manage Equipment Details” from the “Addl. Journey Info.” drop-down list box in the “Manage Trip Plan” page.

The “Manage Equipment Details” page appears.

The page displays the following:

Trip Plan #

The trip as selected in the “Flight Operations” page for which you wish to record/update/view equipment details

Enter the following to retrieve details of the leg from the trip for update/viewing:

Leg #

Use the drop-down list box to select the leg of the trip for which you wish to retrieve equipment details. The drop-down list box displays all the available legs for the selected trip. The selected leg details will be retrieved in the “Equipment Details” multiline, which you can then update/view.

The page displays the following:

Weight Unit

The unit of measurement for the weightage of the equipment.

Process Parameter dependency: Based on the process parameter “Weight Unit to be considered for Trip Plan” defined under the entity type Flight Operations and the entity Trip Plan in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master, the unit of measurement is set for equipment weight. If the process parameter is set as 0 for “Kilograms (Kg)”, the unit of measurement for equipment weight will be displayed in Kilograms (Kg). Alternately, if the process parameter is set as 1 for “Pounds (lb)”, equipment weight will be displayed in Pounds (lb).

Enter new equipment in the “Equipment Details” multiline or update existing equipment details.

Leg #	Use the drop-down list box to select the leg of the trip for which you wish to record equipment details. The drop-down list box displays all the available legs for the selected trip.
Equipment Position	Use the drop-down list box to select the location at which the equipment must be installed during the leg of the trip. The drop-down list box displays the Equipment positions identified in EFB – Central for the Aircraft Model & Flight Service Type combination. Note: You can specify Equipment Position or Equip. Position Ref. for an equipment.
Equip. Position Ref.	The position reference for the location at which the equipment must be installed during the leg of the trip. Note: You can specify Equip. Position Ref. or Equipment Position for an equipment.
Equipment	The name/description of the equipment required to be installed during the leg of the trip. Mandatory.
Weight	The weight of the equipment to be installed during the leg of the trip.
Onboard	Select the check box to indicate the equipment must be installed within the aircraft. Do not select the check box, if the equipment required to be installed on ground for the trip.

Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the details against the leg of the trip.
