Manage Trip Plan – A summary of the activity

The “Manage Trip Plan” activity provides a central platform for the creation/update/view/cancel of trip plans.

A trip plan is created based on a flight request from a customer bound by a contract or a direct trip plan. Upon confirmation of a trip plan, the confirmed trip plan is routed to the EFBC system wherein a flight plan is generated against the trip plan. The flight plan can be confirmed or rejected by the users of the EFBC system.

You can create a trip and then assign crew and aircraft to the trip and create trip plan. You can then confirm and release the trip plan. If integration of Ramco M&E with the EFBC application is enabled, on release the trip plan is dispatched to the EFBC application. The user flies the trip plan in EFBC after approval of the flight plan for the trip.

The trip inherits the relevant flight request, customer and contract details and these details cannot be modified by the users. 

The status of the trip plan is set to:

• Draft, if trip plan is created with partial details
•  Fresh, if all required information is recorded for the trip plan
• Confirmed, on confirmartion of the trip
• Cancelled on cancellation of the trip

You can upload/view documents including related to the trip from this activity. Additional information on the trip including Passenger, Equipment and Cargo details can also be recorded in this activity.

Prerequisites

• Create / confirm flight requests in the Manage Flight Request activity of Flight Planning & Assignment . (Only the Confirmed flight requests with Zeroth revision can be referenced to to create trip plans)
• Create / confirm contracts in Manage Flight Contract of Flight Contract. (Only the Approved flight requests can be referenced to create trip plans)
• Define customers in Customer
• Set process parameters in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master.
• Define quick codes in Flight Log
• Define Crew information in CrewAnywhere
