The “Manage Aircraft Assignments” page appears.

Note: By default the “Manage” radio button is selected on launch of the page.

Manage

Select this radio button if you wish to assign an aircraft or edit details.

View

Select this radio button if you wish to view details of aircraft assignments.

Aircraft

Use the drop-down list box to specify the aircraft for which you wish to retrieve details in the multiline. The system lists the following:

  • A/C Reg. #

  • A/C Model #

  • A/C MSN

By default the system leaves this field blank.

 

In the editable box alongside, enter a value corresponding to the A/C Reg. #, A/C Model # or A/C MSN for which you wish to retrieve details in the multiline. The system retrieves all the records applicable to the value specified here.

Assign Valid from/to

The starting date in the range of dates from which the records with valid assignments must be retrieved. The ending date in the range of dates until which the records with valid assignments must be retrieved is entered in the box provided alongside. The system retrieves all the records falling within this date range specified.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the assignment based on which you wish to retrieve details in the multiline. The system displays the following values:

  • Active – Select this option if you wish to retrieve all the active assignment records.

  • All - Select this option if you wish to retrieve both the active and inactive assignment records in the multiline.

The system displays “Active” by default in this field.

Note: The system displays the “Additional Search” drop-down list box only if the “View” radio button is selected.

Additional Search

Use the drop-down list box to specify the basis on which you wish to perform the search. The system lists the following options:

  • Customer Call Sign

  • Contract

  • Customer #

  • Customer Name

By default the system leaves this field blank.

 

In the editable box alongside, enter a value corresponding to the additional search criteria entered. The system retrieves all the records that are similar to the value specified here.

A/C Reg. #

The registration number of the aircraft for which assignment is made. Mandatory.

Ensure that the value entered in this field is a valid aircraft registration number in active status as defined in the “Aircraft” business component.

A/C  MSN #

The code identifying the aircraft MSN for which assignment is made. Data entry in this field is Mandatory if no value is specified in the A/C Reg. # field.

Ensure that the value entered in this field is a valid aircraft MSN in active status as defined in the “Aircraft” business component.

Note: Ensure that the Aircraft Reg. # - A/c MSN # is a valid combination as defined in the “Aircraft” business component.

The system displays the following fields in the “Aircraft Call Sign Assignments” multiline:

A/C Model #

The number identifying the aircraft model for which assignment is made.

Replaced A/C Reg. #

The code identifying the aircraft, which has been replaced by the primary aircraft, which is to be assigned.

Ensure that the value entered in this field is a valid replaced aircraft registration number in active status as defined in the “Aircraft” business component.

Eff. from Date

The starting date in the range of dates for which the assignment is valid. Mandatory.

Eff. from Time

The starting time period from which the assignment is valid. Mandatory.

Eff. to Date

The ending date in the range of dates up to which the assignment is valid.

Ensure that the date entered in this field is later than the “Eff. from Date”.

Eff. to Time

The ending time period up to which the assignment is valid.

Ensure that the  time entered in this field is later than the “Eff. from Time”.

Usage Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of usage of the aircraft that is to be assigned. The system displays the following options:

  • External – Select this option if the assignment of the aircraft is for the customer.

  • Internal - Select this option if the assignment of the aircraft is for internal use.

Note that in the case of internal usage type the Contract #, Customer Call Sign,
Customer # can be left blank.

The system displays “External” by default in this field.

Customer Call Sign

A reference number by which the customer aircraft  is tracked. Data entry in this field is mandatory if “External” is specified as the “Usage Type”.

Leave this field blank if “Internal” is selected as the “Usage Type”.

Ensure the following:

  • The value entered in this field is a valid customer call sign number in ‘active” status as defined in the “Maintain Customer Call Sign” activity of the “Common Master” business component.

  • The value entered in this field is mapped to the Customer # specified in the Contract.

Contract #

The number identifying the contract against which the aircraft is assigned.

Ensure that the code entered in this field is a valid flight contract number in “approved” status as defined in the “Flight Operations” business component.

Note that smart search is enabled in this field.

Line #

A unique effective code for each of the aircraft level combinations defined in the aircraft details of the contract.

A/C Assign. Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the assigned aircraft is exclusive for the customer or is on a shared basis. Mandatory. The system lists all the active values as defined for the entity “A/c Charter Service” and Category Type “A/c Charter Assign Type” in the “Category” business component.

By default the system leaves this field blank.

Charter Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the charter type to which the flight contract  or the flight belongs to and against which aircraft assignment is made. Mandatory. The system lists all the active values as defined for the entity “Charter Type” in the “Define Process Entities” of the “Common Masters” business component.

Customer #

 

The number identifying the customer for whom the aircraft is assigned.

Note that smart search is enabled in this field.

The system displays the following fields in the “Aircraft Call Sign Assignments” multiline:

Customer Name

The name of the customer for whom the aircraft is assigned.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the aircraft assignment. The system lists the options:

  • Active  

  • Inactive

Remarks

Any comments or additional information pertaining to the call assignment.

The system displays the following fields in the “Aircraft Call Sign Assignments” multiline:

Created by

The user who assigned the aircraft to a customer call sign / contract / charter type or for internal purpose.

Created Date

The date on which the aircraft based assignments were created.

Last Mod. by

The user who last modified the aircraft assignment.

Last Mod. Date

The date on which the aircraft assignment was modified last.
