Assign work center to package popup

Popup Overview: The Assign Work Center and Release Package popup allows mechanics in stations to assign or change the work center for packages in the Fresh status. The users can specify the work center and then release the package for execution. The users are given the option to select any of the work centers for which they have access rights. The status of the package changes from Fresh to Planned on assigning the work center and then the work reporting details can be recorded for the package.

Process parameter dependency: if the process parameter “Allow Work Centre Assignment in Work Reporting Hub?” under the entity type Package Type and the entity All User Defined Package Types and Log Card in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master is set as 1 for Allowed, the Assign Work Centre and Release Package popup appears for packages in the Fresh or Draft status in the “I want to Work” mode.

Click the icon to open the "Assign Work Centre and Release Package" popup for the selected package in the Fresh or Draft status.

The" Assign Work Centre and Release Package" popup displays the following:

Aircraft Reg. #	The aircraft on which the package has been planned for execution.
Aircraft Maint. Exe. #	The work package that has been planned for execution on the aircraft.
Message Center	Prompts the user to assign the work center for the package.

Select the following:

Work Center #

From the drop-down list box, select the work center in which the package must be executed. The drop-down list box displays the work centers for which the login user has access privileges.

Process parameter dependency: The process parameter ‘Allow Work Center Assignment in Work Reporting Hub?’ under the entity type Package Type and the entity All User Defined values including Log Card but excluding "--All Packages--" in the Define Process Parameters activity of Common Master allows / disallows users from specifying the work center for aircraft work packages in the Work Reporting Hub page.

Allow Work Center Assignment in Work Reporting Hub? value	Impact based on process parameter value
No / 0	You cannot specify the work center for execution of packages in Fresh / Draft status.
Yes / 1	The Assign Work Center and Release Package popup appears in the Work Reporting Hub page for you to specify the work center for package execution, if a work center was not already assigned. You can thus release and execute package in the station at which the aircraft has halted for line maintenance.

Select the “Yes” pushbutton to release the package for execution.

On click of the “Yes” pushbutton, the status of the package changes to “Planned”.

Work Center – Aircraft Model Effectivity for creating / releasing packages

You can assign a package to a work center only if the Aircraft Model #- Maint. Operator # combination for the aircraft is effective for the work center as defined in the “Edit Work Center Certification Effectivity” page of the “Identify Exe. Unit Work Centers” activity in the Work Center component:

If the process parameter “Validate Work Center - Aircraft effectivity during Package creation?” is set as "1" for "Yes" under the entity type Package Type and entity User defined package types including ‘Log Card’ in the “Define Process Entities” activity of Common Master.
Alternately, select “No” pushbutton to close the popup without assigning a work center for the package.
