The system performs the following:
For change request of type “MCR”:
The system copies the effectivity details, depending on the applicability selected for the change request and revision combination.
If some conditional effectivity details are specified in the “Maintenance Change Request”, which is getting processed, the system copies all those aircraft or components in the fleet that satisfy the specified conditions. For example if the “Maintenance Change Request” is stated as applicable to the aircraft whose Flight Hours is greater than 500 then system will automatically copy all the aircraft , in the fleet, whose flight hours is greater than 500.
If the part identifier is “Internal”, the part number and the serial number details belonging to the part are copied, if they exist in the “Part Administration” business component. If the part identifier is “Supplier”, the system copies all the part numbers whose ‘Other Part Numbers’ are identified for the MCR. For a given other part number, if more than one internal part number exists, the system copies the first part number.
The status of the MCR is changed from “Confirmed” to “Processed”.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. You can configure further processing of this document in the "Workflow Management" business component.

Evaluating change request – An overview
This page allows you to enter the evaluation details for the change request.
Any engineering change proposed through change request has its own repercussions in terms of execution costs and revenue loss. Therefore a management committee evaluates the change request and arrives at the final conclusion of whether to execute the change request or not. The management committee constitutes representatives from engineering, maintenance planning, material planning, production planning and also the local regulatory authority.
After the evaluation of safety and reliability implications and cost benefit analysis, the committee decides on the execution of change request.
MCM status is the status assigned to the change request, by the MCM. The status could be either of the following:
Draft - when the change request details are not completely processed yet. This status indicates that you will still be able to edit the details.
Confirmed - when all the change request details have been processed and confirmed.
Note: If the change request evaluation details are modified in this page, ensure that the MCM status of the change request is not “Confirmed”.
You can modify the user status of the change request and specify the recommendation category, the engineer’s advice and the consequences of executing or not executing the change request.
The system updates the details and copies the effectivity details based on the change request applicability.
The effectivity details of the aircraft or component can be entered in the “Edit Aircraft Effectivity” and “Edit Component Effectivity” pages. You can enter the financial implications on executing the change request in the “Edit Cost Benefit Analysis” page.
