Entering AMOC details for change request – An overview
Alternate means of compliance (AMOC) is the alternate method by which a proposed engineering change can be complied with. The alternate method could be execution of a work unit, a different service bulletin (SB), a retrofitment or even changing of the next higher assembly (NHA).
The current change request might enforce the execution of certain other change requests that were released at an earlier date. For example, An MCR such as AD (Airworthiness Directive) may state that, a single SB or a set of SBs released earlier should be complied with. In such case the SB or set of SBs released earlier can be marked as AMOC to this AD.The execution of the Alternate Methods will mark the compliance of the current Change Request. Such related MCRs (the SBs, in this case) are recorded as the alternate means of compliance for the current MCR (AD).
In this page, you can enter the AMOC details for the change request of type “MCR”. The MCM status of the selected maintenance change request must be set as “Draft”.
