What you can do in this page

Unified Glossary

Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to  specify the aircraft, for which the change request is applicable. Tell me more.

The “Edit Aircraft Effectivity” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “MCM Details” group box:

MCM #

The number identifying the modification change meeting.

MCM Status

The status assigned to the change request document, by the MCM. The system displays “Draft”.

Change Request #

The change request number for which the aircraft effectivity details must be defined.

Revision #

The revision number of the change request if any.

Change Doc Type

The document type of the change request, which could be “MCR”.

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft registration number for which the change request is applicable (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. The aircraft registration number should have already been defined in the “Create Aircraft Record” activity of the “Aircraft” business component, and the status of the aircraft registration number should be “Active”. Ensure that the aircraft registration number is unique in the multiline.

Variable Tab #

The tab number of the aircraft (Integer). The number entered here must be a valid tab number for the aircraft registration number and must be defined in the “Create Aircraft Record” activity of the “Aircraft” business component.

Help facility available.

Manufacturer Serial #

The serial number of the aircraft manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 40). The number entered here must be a valid serial number for the aircraft registration number and must be defined in the “Create Aircraft Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component.

Help facility available.

Nose #

The nose number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). The number entered here must be a valid tail number for the aircraft registration number and must be defined in the “Create Aircraft Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component.

Help facility available.

The system displays the following field on clicking the “Edit Effectivity” pushbutton:

Aircraft Model #

The model number to which the aircraft belongs.

Applicability Group #

Use the drop-down list box to modify the applicability group, based on which the change request must be processed. The system lists all the applicability group numbers that are defined in the “Create MCR” activity of the “Maintenance Change Request” business component.

Note: Ensure that atleast one aircraft is entered in the multiline.

Entering aircraft effectivity details for change request – An overview

Process Change Request - A summary of the activity

In this page, you can specify the aircraft, for which the change request is applicable. Aircraft effectivity details can be entered for change requests. The system displays the aircraft registration numbers that are already associated to the MCR and revision number combination. You can add details or delete the existing details.

All the aircraft with common Part Requirements, Resource Requirements, Configuration Change Details etc. can be grouped together for data definition ease by assigning an applicability group number.

In this page, you can modify the applicability group number that is already associated to the aircraft.

Associate the aircraft to a different applicability group

Aircrafts are grouped based on their specific aircraft identifier types, in the “Maintenance Change Request” business component. An applicability group number is created for this group of aircraft.

In this page, you can associate the aircraft to a different applicability group number. The engineering document inherits details such as the concurrent requirements, task, subtask, kit, resource and tool requirements, configuration changes, weight and balance information, publications affected, and other references that are already defined for the selected applicability group:
