Editing authorization committee details
In this page, you can modify the details of the authorization committee selected in the Select Authorization Committee. Tell me more.
Click the hyperlinked authorization committee number in the "Select Authorization Committee" page.
The “Edit Authorization Committee” page appears.
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “Authorization Committee Details” group box:
Authorization Committee # |
The number identifying the authorization committee that is selected in the previous page for modification. |
Enter the following fields to modify the details:
Level # |
The number identifying the level for which the details must be modified (Integer). Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive. You cannot modify this level number once the authorization rules are set. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the authorization committee. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. |
Set the status as “Inactive” if you wish to disable the authorization committee from future reference in other activities. |
Note: The system displays an informational message when the status is modified.
Previous Level Authorization |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the previous level authorization is required for the level entered in the “Level #” field. The system provides the following options: |

Use the drop-down list box to indicate the mode by which the engineering document must be authorized. The system provides the following options: |

The system lists the ATA chapters that are already associated to the authorization committee, in the “ATA Details” multiline.
You can add ATA chapters to the authorization committee by entering the following field in the multiline:
ATA # |
The ATA chapter that must be associated to the authorization committee (Alphanumeric, 16). The ATA chapter number should be in “Active” status in the “Aircraft” business component. Help facility available. |

Select the ATA chapter number in the multiline, for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the ATA chapter number selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Authorization Levels” pushbutton, to update the modified authorization committee details.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Associate Members” link at the bottom of the page, to associate members to the authorization committee.
Select the “Set Authorization Rule for Committee” link at the bottom of the page, to set authorization rules for the authorization committee.
The system displays the following details in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the authorization committee. |
Created Date |
The date on which the authorization committee was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the details of authorization committee. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the authorization committee was last modified. |
Editing authorization committee details -An overview
In this page, you can modify the details of the authorization committee selected in the “Select Authorization Committee” page. You can modify the level number, You can also modify details such as, whether the previous level authorization is mandatory or not, and specify whether any member, or all the members of the authorization committee must authorize the engineering document.
Set previous level authorization as mandatory for authorization at current level

Set previous level authorization as mandatory for authorization at current level
You can indicate whether the engineering document must be authorized at the previous level, before it gets authorized at the current level.
Set the “Previous Level Authorization” drop-down list box to “Mandatory”, to indicate that the previous level authorization is mandatory, for authorization at the current level.
Set the “Previous Level Authorization” drop-down list box to “Not Mandatory”, to indicate that the previous level authorization is not mandatory, for authorization at the current level.
You can indicate whether any member, or all the members in the authorization committee must authorize engineering document.
Select the “All Members” option in the “Authorization By” drop-down list box, to indicate that the engineering document must be authorized by all the members in the authorization committee.
Select the “Any Member” option in the “Authorization By” drop-down list box, to indicate that the engineering document can be authorized by any member in the authorization committee.
Associate ATA chapters to the authorization committee
The authorization committee authorizes the engineering document based on the ATA chapter associated to it. Only the authorization committee associated to the ATA chapter can authorize the engineering documents raised on the ATA chapter.
