Entering component schedule details in component modification plan
This page allows you to specify the compliance date of the engineering document for the component. Tell me more.
Select the “Prepare Component Modification Plan” link at the bottom of the “Select Engineering document” page.
The “Prepare Component Modification Plan” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Eng Doc Details” group box: |

Engineering Document # |
The engineering document number selected in the main page. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the engineering document. |
Subject |
The textual description of the engineering document. |
Eff. from Date |
The date from which the engineering document is effective. |
Change Doc Type |
The type of the engineering document, which could be “Engineering Document”. |
Enter the following field:
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the engineering document. Note that if the engineering document is of type “Engineering Document”, the system lists all the user statuses of type “Engineering Document User Status” that are defined in the “Create Quick Code” activity. |
Note: On launching the page, the system displays the component modification plan that is already defined for the engineering document, revision number and change doc type combination. If the modification plan is not defined, the system retrieves the parts for which the change is applicable, and calculates the compliance date and displays the date in the “Schedule Date” and “Compliance Date” fields.
The system displays the following fields in the “Part Details” multiline:
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the engineering document is applicable. |
Part Serial # |
The serial number of the part. |
Component # |
The component ID for the part and the serial number combination. |
Enter the following field:
Schedule Date |
The date on which the engineering document must be executed for the component (Date Format). Mandatory. By default the system displays the compliance date. |
The system displays the following field:
Compliance Date |
The date on which the engineering document must be executed for the component. |
Click the “Edit Mod Plan” pushbutton, to update the schedule details.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the component for which the detailed schedule report must be viewed.

Entering component schedule details in component modification plan – An overview
In this page, you can specify the compliance date of the engineering document for the component. The system lists the parts for which the engineering document is applicable, in the multiline. You can modify the user status of the engineering document. The system displays the part, serial number, component ID of the part and the date on which the engineering document has to be executed for the component. If you wish to execute the engineering document for the component before the compliance date, you can specify the schedule date against each component.
