Setting authorization rule for multiple authorization committees
Setting the authorization rule involves associating the authorization committee to the Eng. Doc. Type and source document type combination. You can associate multiple authorization committees to the Eng. Doc. Type and source document type combination selected in the previous page.
Select the “Set Authorization Rules” link at the bottom of the “Select Authorization Rules” page.
The “Set Authorization Rules” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:
Eng. Doc. Type |
The type of engineering document. |
Source Doc Type |
The source document type selected in the previous page. |
The system displays the details of the authorization committee that is already associated to the Eng.Doc Type and source document type combination.
Enter the following field in the “Authorization Committee Details” multiline, to associate multiple authorization committees to the selected Eng. Doc Type and source document type:
Authorization Committee # |
Authorization Committee # The number identifying the authorization committee that you wish to associate to the Eng. Doc. Type and source document type combination (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the authorization committee is already defined in the login organizational unit and is in “Active” status. Ensure that the number is unique in the multiline. Help facility available |
Note: Ensure that atleast one employee is associated as a member in the authorization committee.
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:
Level # |
The level number of the authorization committee. |
Previous Level Authorization |
The system displays “Yes”, if previous level authorization is mandatory, for authorization at the current level. The system displays “No”, if previous level authorization is non-mandatory. |
Click the “Set Authorization Rules” pushbutton, to set the authorization rules.
The system updates the Eng. Doc. Type and Source Doc Type drop-down list boxes with the values entered in the multiline.
The system sets the authorization rule for all the authorization committees entered in the multiline.
