Close All Related Documents |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes”, to close all the related documents. The system sets the field to “No” by default. |
When this field is set to “Yes”, the system closes all the related engineering documents, identified as ‘Preceding Eng. Doc.’ and ‘Simultaneous Eng. Doc.’, in the “Create Direct Eng. Doc." activity. Ensure that all work orders (‘A/c Maint. Exe Ref #,, ‘Component Work Order’ and ‘Line Work Order’) raised against the engineering documents are closed, before closing the engineering documents. |
Enter the following field in the “Closing Comments” group box:
Comments |
Any comment pertaining to the closing of engineering document (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the engineering document for closing.
Note: Ensure that atleast one engineering document is selected for closing.
While closing a engineering document,, ensure that the status of all parent Eng Docs are set to “Closed”, if the “Close Child Engineering Document only if Parent Engineering Document is Closed” option is set to “Yes” in the "Set Options" activity. Also ensure that all the work orders (hangar, line and component) are closed while closing the engineering document.
Click the “Close Eng. Doc.” pushbutton, to close the engineering document(s) selected in the multiline.
The system changes the status of the engineering document(s) from “Released” to “Closed”.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.
If the applicability of the Eng. Doc. is “Engine” or “Component”, the system ensures that:
No work unit of the regularization Eng. Doc. exists in the component pending tray with job status as “Allocated”.
No work unit is available in the component work order of status other than “Cancelled”, “Completed” or “Closed”, and in the repair order of status other than “Canceled” or “Closed”.
The available quantity of the component undergoing serial number change is “0” in the “Stock Maintenance” business component.
If the applicability of the Eng. Doc. is “Aircraft”, the system ensures that :
No work unit of the regularization Eng. Doc. exists in the central planning pending tray with job status as “Allocated”.
No work unit is available in the hangar work order of status other than “Cancelled”, “Completed” or “Closed”.
If the applicability of the Eng. Doc. is “Aircraft” and the “Regularization” check box is checked, the system performs the following:
Updates the last performed date for the work unit having the regularization engineering document reference in the aircraft maintenance program.
Updates the compliance history for the complied work units, with execution mode as “Manual”, execution document as closing Eng. Doc. and compliance date as the closing date.
Removes the work unit having the regularization Eng. Doc. as reference from the central planning pending tray.
Performs position part change for the model configuration and aircraft configuration, based on the details in the “Edit Model Configuration Change Information” and “Edit Aircraft Configuration Change Information” pages, if the “Update Model / Part Configuration” field is set as “After Execution” in the “Edit Configuration Change Information” page. The part change is also performed for the components that are attached in the position where the position part change is performed. The part change details are updated in the part modification history and also in “Aircraft” and “Stock Maintenance” business components.
Note: This position part change is performed for all aircraft for which a configuration change is suggested in the Eng. Doc.
