Entering resource requirement for visit package
This option allows you to add or modify the details of resources required for executing the visit package on the whole. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Visit Level Resource Reqmts” link at the bottom of the “Edit Visit Package Details” page.
The “Edit Visit Level Resource Requirements” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Visit Package Details” group box:
Visit Package # |
The visit package for which the resource details must be entered. |
Revision # |
The latest revision number of the visit package. The system leaves the field blank if the visit package has not been revised. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft registration number for which the visit package is applicable. |
Aircraft Model # |
The model to which the aircraft belongs. |
Primary Work Center # |
The primary work center where the visit package has to be performed. |
Primary Work Center Desc |
The description of the work center. Zoom facility available. |
Enter the following field:
Resource Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the resource for which the details are to be added or modified. The available options are “Skills” “Tools”, “Equipment“ and “Others”. The system sets the field to “Skills” by default. |
Click the “Get details” pushbutton to retrieve the resource details that are already defined for the resource type and visit package combination.
Enter the following fields in the “Resource Details” multiline:
Resource # |
The resource required for completing the work unit (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The resource of type “Skills” must have been defined in the “Maintain Skills" activity of “HR Setup” business component. Resource of type “Tools”, “Others” and “Equipment” must have been defined in the “Create Facilities” activity of the “Work Center” business component. The status of the resource must be “Active”. For each resource type, the resource number must be unique within the multiline. Help facility available. |
Time Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the unit of measurement for the resource time, which could be “Minutes”, “Hours” or “Days”. The system sets the field to “Hours” by default. |
Est. Time |
The number of hours, minutes or days for which the resource is required to complete the work unit (Integer). Mandatory. The number entered in this field must be positive. |
Est. Nos. |
The number of resources required for completing the work unit (Integer). Mandatory. Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive. |
The system displays the following field:

Resource Type |
The type of the resource. |

Click the “Edit Requirements” pushbutton to update the resource details.
The system performs the following:
Updates the resource requirement for the visit package.
The cost related information is also updated for the resource type and resource combination.
The total resource cost for the visit package is calculated as the sum of the cost of all resources used in the visit package. The resource cost is calculated by multiplying the cost per unit of the resource and the estimated number of resources.
For a visit package of “Fresh” status, the system updates the resource requirement details.
For a visit package of the “Confirmed” status, the system updates the resource requirements and sets the visit package to “Fresh” status. The system also sets the “Approval Status” to “Pending Approval”, if the visit package approval status is “Approved” or “Returned”.
For a visit package of the “Released” or “Partly Released” status, the system updates the resource requirement, sets the visit package to “Fresh” status and increments the revision number by 1. The previous version is also retained with the respective revision number with the status set as “Revised”. If “Approval Required” option is set to “Yes” in “Set Options” activity, the system sets the approval status of the visit package to “Pending Approval”.

You can specify the resource required for completing the visit package.
Set the “Resource Type” drop-down list box to “Skill” to add skill type resource to visit package.
Set the “Resource Type” drop-down list box to “Tools” to add the tools required for visit package.
Set the “Resource Type” drop-down list box to “Equipment” to add the equipment required for visit package.
Set the “Resource Type” drop-down list box to “Others” to add other types of resources required for visit package.

Entering resource requirement for visit package – An overview
This option allows you to add or modify the details of resources required at the visit package level. If you wish to define the resources for the work units, you can enter details such as resource code, estimated duration and number of resources needed against each resource type.
Note: You can enter resource requirements only for visit packages that are in “Fresh” or “Confirmed” status.
