Managing additional man hours and visit extensions
You can review the unplanned man hour details reported at the visit package level or at the execution work center level. You can also change the end date for the visit package depending upon the number of unplanned work orders generated for the visit package.
Select the “Maintain Additional Man Hours" link under the "Visit Package" business component.
Or,
Select the "Manage Additional Man Hours and Visit Extensions” link in the “Close Visit Package”, “Plan Visit Package” or “Revise Visit Package” page.
The “Manage Additional Man Hours and Visit Extensions” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a visit package. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Visit Package # |
The visit package for which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit package numbers that are similar to the value entered here. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the visit package. The system lists the options “Released”, “Partly Released”, “Active” and “Closed”. The system retrieves all the visit packages that are of the status specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the status. |
Note: If you select the option "Active", the system retrieves all the visit package of status other than "Draft", "Closed" or "Cancelled". |

Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft for which the visit package details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages that are created for the aircraft with registration number similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the aircraft registration number. |
Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model for which the visit package details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages that are created for the aircraft with model number similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the aircraft model number. |
Primary Work Center # |
The primary work center to which the visit package is allotted (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages allotted to the work center number similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the work center. |
Display Option |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center based on which details are to be retrieved. The system lists the following options:
The system sets the field to “Execution Work Center” by default. |
Visit Planner |
The code identifying the employee who plans the visit package (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages associated to the employee with code similar to the code entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the employees irrespective of the visit planner. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined status of the visit package. The system retrieves all the visit packages that are of the status specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of their user-status. |
Visit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate the type of the visit package to be retrieved, which could be “Planned” or “Unplanned”. The system retrieves all the visit packages that are of the type specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of their type. |
Visit Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the group to which the visit package belongs. The system lists all the “active” quick codes that are of type "Visit Group", as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves all the visit packages belonging to the group selected here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the group. |
Visit Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the visit package to be retrieved. The system lists all the visit categories defined in the “Central Planning” business component. The system retrieves all those visit packages that are in the category specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of their category. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer owning the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the customer name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the visit packages created for the customer name entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the visit packages irrespective of the customers. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the visit package details.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria entered:
Note: If the “Primary Work Center” option is selected in the “Display Option” field, only the visit package details will be retrieved in the multiline.
If the “Execution Work Center” option is selected in the “Display Option” field, the visit package level details for the primary work center along with the total number of planned and unplanned work orders for the visit package, will be retrieved as the first line item. The corresponding work order level details for the execution work centers will be retrieved as subsequent line items in the multiline.

The latest revision number of the visit package. |

The aircraft registration number for which the visit package is applicable. |

Visit Group |
The group to which the visit package belongs. This field appears blank for the execution work center level records. |
Visit Category |
The category to which the visit package belongs. This field appears blank for the execution work center level records. |
Enter the following field:
Priority |
Use the drop-down list box to assign the priority for the visit package. The system lists the descriptions of all the “Active” priority numbers defined in the “Create Priority Numbers“ activity of the Common Master” business component. Leave this field blank for the execution work centers level records. By default, the system sets the field to the priority of the visit package if available. Else the system leaves the field blank by default. |
The system displays the following fields:
Plan Start |
The planned start date for the visit package. This field appears blank for the execution work center level records. |
Plan End |
The planned end date for the visit package. This field appears blank for the execution work center level records. |
Work Center # |
The number identifying the primary/execution work center. |
Work Center Description |
The textual description of the work center. |
Planned WO Count |
The total number of scheduled work orders generated for the visit package. This field appears blank for the execution work center level records. |
Unplanned WO Count |
The total number of unscheduled work orders generated for the visit package. This field appears blank for the execution work center level records. |
Incomplete WO Count |
The total number of scheduled and unscheduled work orders with status other than “Closed”, “Preclosed”, “Completed” and “Cancelled”, generated for the visit package. This field appears blank for the execution work center level records. |
Cuml. Man Hours Added |
The total man hours of all the unplanned work units across all the work orders at the visit package level or at the execution work center level. |
Addl. Man Hours |
The total man hours of all the unplanned work units that are added across the work orders at the visit package level or at the execution work center level, since the last update. |
Forecasted Man Hours |
The total man hours forecasted for all the unplanned work units across all the work orders at the visit package level or at the execution work center level. |
Act. Man Hours Rep. |
The actual man hours reported against all the work orders at the visit package level or at the execution work center level. |
Pending Hours |
The sum of:
If the value is negative, the system displays zero in this field. |
Forecasted Days |
The difference (in days) between the start date of the first work order and the end date of the last work order, at the visit package level. This field appears blank for the execution work center level records. |
Actual Days |
The difference (in days) between the actual start date of the first work order and the actual end of the last work order, at the visit package level or at the execution work center level. If any of the work orders is incomplete, the system displays the current server date in this field. |
Enter the following field:
Extend By?(Days) |
The number of days by which you wish to extend the planned end date for the work orders at the execution work center level (Integer). Leave this field blank for the primary work center level records. |
The system displays the following field:
Org. Target |
The planned end date of the last planned work order, at the visit package level or at the execution work center level records. |
Revised Target |
The sum of the values in the “Org. Target” and “Extend By?(Days)” fields. This field appears blank for the primary work center level records. |
Enter the following field:
Revised Plan End Date |
The revised plan end date for the visit package (Date Format). Leave this field blank for the execution work center level records. |
Note: Ensure that the date entered here is later than the grounding date of the aircraft.
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined status assigned to the visit package. Leave this field blank for the execution work centers. |
Comments |
Any other remarks pertaining to recording of additional man hours and visit extensions (Alphanumeric, 255). |
The system displays the following:
Last Modified By |
The name of the employee who last modified the details. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the details were last modified. |
Title |
The textual description of the visit package. This field appears blank for the execution work centers. |
Status |
The status of the visit package, which could be “Released”, “Partly Released”, “Active” and “Closed”. This field appears blank for the execution work center level records. |
Select a visit package or an execution work center in the multiline.
Click the “Update Visit Details” pushbutton to update the details.
Note: Ensure that the visit package is not in “Closed” status.
No change in the revision number and status of the visit package would occur even if the visit package details are modified and updated here.
The system performs the following:
Resets the “Addl. Man Hours” field to zero, if the “Extend By?(Days)” field is entered.
Updates the revised plan end date as the end date of the visit package.
