Approve deferrals  – A summary of the activity

The “Approve Deferrals” activity allows you to process the deferment request of a work unit. You can either defer or reject the deferment request, which is in the “Confirmed” status. You can also modify the deferment details or deferral limits before processing the deferment request.

The “Select Request For Deferrals” page helps you to select deferment requests for processing. The “Approve Deferrals” page allows you to process the deferment request. The “Edit Deferral Report” page enables you to modify the deferment details of a work unit. The “Edit Deferral Limits” page helps you to modify the deferral limits for a work unit.

Approve or reject deferment requests

You can approve or reject a deferment request, which is in the “Confirmed” status.

4 Search and select a deferment request in the “Select Request For Deferrals” page.

4Click the “Approve” pushbutton to approve the deferment request or click the “Reject” pushbutton to reject the deferment request.

Modify deferral limits before approval

You can process a deferment request, which is in the “Confirmed” status. You can modify the deferral limits before approving the deferment request.

4 Search and select a deferment request in the “Select Request For Deferrals” page.

4 Select the “Approve Deferrals” link at the bottom of the page.

The system displays the “Approve Deferrals” page.

4 Select the “Edit Deferral Limits” link to modify deferral limits before approval.

View discrepancy associated to the maintenance report

4 Use the “View Associated Discrepancies” page to view the discrepancy that are associated to the maintenance report number.
