This page allows you to select the aircraft for which you need to search for work units.  Tell me more

The “Select Aircraft” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are to be entered in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the registration number entered is as defined in the “Aircraft” business component. Leave this field blank to retrieve the aircraft irrespective of the registration number.

Aircraft Model #

The model to which the aircraft belongs (Alphanumeric, 20). Ensure that the model number entered is as defined in the “Aircraft” business component. Leave this field blank to retrieve the aircraft irrespective of the model number.

Date Basis

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of date based on which the pending work units are retrieved by the system. The system provides the options, “Earliest Compliance Date”, “Schedule Date”, “Latest Compliance Date” and “Alert Date”. Leave this field blank to search for the work units irrespective of its compliance, schedule or alert dates. The system sets this field blank by default.

Date from

The starting date of the date type selected in the “Date Basis” field, from which you need to retrieve the work units (Date Format). The system retrieves all the work units from the date that is similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search the work units, irrespective of the starting date.

Date to

The ending date of the date type selected in the “Date Basis” till which you need to retrieve the work units (Date Format). The system searches all the work units till the date that is similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search for work units, irrespective of the ending date.

Note: The dates are displayed, either in GMT or local time, based on the options set in the “Time Zone” systems parameter in the “Set Options” activity of the current business component.

Planning Base

Use the drop-down list box to select the organizational unit that owns the aircraft. The system sets the field blank by default. The system retrieves all the aircraft that are associated with the planning base specified here. Leave this field blank to search for all the aircraft, irrespective of the planning base.

Field Base

Use the drop-down list box to select the field base to which the aircraft is associated. The system lists all distinct work centers along with their parent work centers. The system retrieves all the aircraft associated to the field base selected here. Leave the field blank to retrieve all the aircraft irrespective of the field base.

Note: If the selected work center has child work centers, then all aircraft mapped to the selected work center or any of its child work centers, will be retrieved.

Note: Ensure that the “Aircraft Reg #”, “Aircraft Model #”, “Field Base”, or "Sub Fleet #" is entered, if the “Ensure Sub Fleet Security” field is set as “Not Required” in the “Maintain Option Setting” page.

Sub Fleet #

Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the sub fleet to which the aircraft in “Active” status is associated and mapped to the user. Leave this field blank to load all the aircraft mapped to the sub fleets for the login user. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Display Option

Use the drop-down list box to select the aircraft. The system provides the options, “All Aircraft” and “A/C with Pend. Discrepancy”. Select “All Aircraft” to retrieve all aircraft irrespective of the pending work units. Select “A/C with Pend. Discrepancy” to retrieve aircraft with “Pending Discrepancy” or “Deferred Discrepancy” statuses system displays “All Aircraft’ by default.

Note: In the “Sub Fleet #” field, if the “Ensure Sub Fleet Security” field is set as “Required” in the “Maintain Option Setting” page, the system loads all the sub fleet numbers in “Active” status associated to the login user in the “Aircraft Maintenance Forecast” business component. If the “Ensure Sub Fleet Security” field is set as “Not Required” in the “Maintain Option Setting” page, the system loads all the sub fleet numbers in “Active” status defined in the “Aircraft Maintenance Forecast” business component.

Note: Based on the search criteria, the aircraft in “Active” status, irrespective of the pending work units will be retrieved.

Note: If a value is selected in the “Sub Fleet #” field, then the aircraft in “Active” status mapped to the selected sub fleet, will be retrieved.  

Note: If the “Display Option” field is set as “A/C with Pend. Discrepancy” for all the above cases, then the aircraft with pending or deferred discrepancies in the “Discrepancy Processing” business component will be retrieved.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft.

  • Click the hyperlinked aircraft registration number to select work units for allocation.

Aircraft Model #

The model number to which the aircraft belongs.

Earliest Arising On

The earliest date, in the specified date format, on which the arising of maintenance work is forecasted.

Sub Fleet #

The sub fleet number mapped to the user.

Planning Base

The organization unit with which the aircraft is associated.

Field Base

The work center to which the aircraft is associated.

Status Indicator

The status of the aircraft, which can be “Work Units Overdue” or “Discrepancies Pending”.

Note: The multiline is color coded to display the aircraft on the following conditions:

  1. If discrepancies are available for the Aircraft Registration # in “Pending Discrepancies” or “Deferred Discrepancies” or “Deferred Maintenance Reports” statuses, the multiline appears in blue color

  2. If Work Units Overdue is available for the aircraft where the Scheduled Date is earlier than the Current Date, the multiline appears in red color. For an aircraft with “Work Units Overdue” and “Discrepancies Deferred” statuses, priority will be given to “Work Units Overdue” and the multiline appears in red color.

  3. If the aircraft does not belong to any of the above conditions, the multiline appears in the application color

Selecting aircraft for planning maintenance activity – An overview

Allocate work units - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to select the aircraft for which you need to search for work units. You can carry out a search based on filter criteria, such as aircraft registration number, aircraft model, range of compliance, schedule or alert dates, planning base and execution unit. The system retrieves the aircraft details based on the filter criteria specified.
