Page Overview

The "Identify and Resolve Resource Bottleneck" page appears.

The system displays the following field:    

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

The “Planning Details” group box displays the following.

Planner Code

The employee code of the login user.

Planner Name

The name of the login user.

From Date

The start-date of a specified period, as specified in the “Plan Capacity” page.

To Date

The end-date of a specified period, as specified in the “Plan Capacity” page.

The “Resource Bottleneck Details” multiline displays the following.

Date

The date in the planning horizon.

Work Center #

The identification number of the work center.

Skill #

The identification number of the skill.

Available (Hrs)

The quantity of the resource / skill available on hand, in hours.

Firm Booking (Hrs)

The quantity of the resource / skill already allocated to orders for which execution document has already been generated, in hours.       

Plan Booking (Hrs)

The quantity of the resource / skill tentatively set aside for orders for which execution document is not yet generated, in hours.       

Execution Comments

Any remarks or narration on the execution of the customer order / maintenance of the aircraft, component or part.

Employee #

The identification number of the employee with the required skill.

Specify this field to display details of the employee alone for the period between From: Mapped Date and To: Mapped Date.

Skill #

The identification number of the skill.

Specify this field to display details of all employees with the required skill for the period between From: Mapped Date and To: Mapped Date.

Work Center #

The identification number of the work center.

Specify this field to display details of all employees associated with the specified work center for the period between From: Mapped Date and To: Mapped Date.

Org. Unit #

Use the drop-down list box to specify the organization unit.

Specify this field to display details of all employees associated with the specified organization unit for the period between From: Mapped Date and To: Mapped Date.

From: Mapped Date

The start-date of the specified period for which you want the skill details.

The system defaults the From Date specified in the Plan Capacity page, which you can change.

To: Mapped Date

The end-date of the specified period for which you want the skill details. The system defaults the To Date specified in the Plan Capacity page, which you can change.

Employee #

The identification number of the employee.

Assignment Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the strategy for resolving the resource bottleneck. The system displays the following values: Employee Movement and Overtime.

To Work Center #

The identification number of the work center to which the employee needs to be moved to resolve the resource bottleneck.

This field is applicable if the Assignment Type is “Employee Movement”.

From Date

The start-date of the specified period for which the employee / skill is available. This field is mandatory.

To Date

The end-date of the specified period for which the employee / skill is available. This field is mandatory.

OT (Hrs)

The overtime hours of work required from the employee.

This field is applicable if the Assignment Type is “Overtime”.

The system displays the following.

Skill #

The identification number of the skill of the employee.

Work Center #

Page Overview

The “Identify and Resolve Resource Bottleneck” page enables the central planners to,

4 Find the current availability of skills with regard to customer orders / maintenance objects.

4 Identify and resolve shortages of the required skills.

To resolve skill shortages, one of the following strategies are adopted,

4 Movement of employees with the required skill to the work center, where bottleneck is identified.

4 Overtime hours of work by employees of the required skill

This page shows the available quantity of skills day-wise and work center-wise, in hours. It also displays the quantity of the skill allocated to confirmed orders as well as planned orders. This enables the planners to make the required adjustment to overcome the resource shortage.

Planners can find the availability of skills required for execution of maintenance jobs in a specified employee, work center and / or organization unit for a planning horizon.
