Modifying documents mapping of a buyer group
This page allows you to modify the documents that are mapped to a buyer group. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Document Mapping” link in the “Edit Buyer Group” page.
The “Edit Document Mapping” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed, in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields:
Buyer Group |
The buyer group selected in the “Select Buyer Group” page. |
Description |
The textual description of the buyer group. |
The system displays the following field in the “Map Document” multiline:
Document |
The document type that can be mapped to the buyer group. The system displays “Blanket Purchase Order”, “Purchase Order”, “Purchase Request”, “Repair Order” ,Quotation”, “Request for Quotation” or “Release Slip”. |
Modify the following field, if required:
Map ? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether to map the document type to the buyer group or not. The system displays the options, “Yes” and “No”. Select “Yes”, if you want to map the document to the buyer group and “No” if you do not want to map the document. The system sets the field blank by default. Mandatory. |
Note: Ensure at least one document type is mapped to the buyer group.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the document type for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected document type.
Click the “Edit Document Mapping” pushbutton, to update the modified document mapping.
The system updates the modifications and sets the login user name to the “Last Modified By” field and the current server date to the “Last Modified Date” field.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The name of the user who created the buyer group. |
Created Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the buyer group was created. |
Last Modified by |
The name of the user, who last modified the buyer group. |
Last Modified Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the buyer group was last modified. |
Modifying documents mapping of a buyer group – An overview
This page allows you to modify the documents that are mapped to a buyer group. You can specify the buyer group for which you need to modify the document types mapping. The system displays purchase order, blanket purchase order, release slip, purchase request, repair order and repair order document types. You can select document types and map it to the specified buyer group.
You can map new document types to the buyer group or remove an existing document mapping. The system updates the modified details of the buyer group and stores the name of the user who last modified the document mapping and the current server date as the last modified date.

You can modify document types that are already defined in the “Create Buyer Group” activity.
Set the “Map?” field in the multiline to “Yes”, if you wish to map the corresponding document to the selected buyer group.
Set the “Map?” field in the multiline to “No”, if you do not wish to map the document to the selected buyer group.
Click the “Edit Map Document” pushbutton, to map the documents to the selected buyer group.
