Select the “Set Base Parameters ” link under the “Aircraft” business component.
The “Set Base Parameters” page appears.
The system displays the following field in the “Parameter Details” multiline:

The following parameters are displayed: “Flying Hours” (FH), “Flying Cycles” (FC), “Block Hours” (BH), “Landing Cycles”, “Engine Hours” (EH), “Engine Cycles” (EC), “APU Hours”, “APU Cycles”, “Aircraft Weight”, “Aircraft Moment”, "Position Formula", "Flight Days", “Oil Consumption Rate" and “Fuel Consumption/Hour”. |
Enter the following field:

The parameter number that must be associated to the parameter specified in the “Base Parameter” field. The parameter must have already been defined in the “Create Parameters” activity and must be in the “Active” status. Ensure that the parameter is of type “Consumption”. |

Note: The parameter type of base parameters is commonly set to “Consumption”. However, an exception to this are base parameters “Aircraft Weight”, “Aircraft Moment”, "Oil Consumption Rate" and “Fuel Consumption/Hour” which can also be of type “Range” or “Technical”.
The system displays the following fields on clicking the “Set Base Parameters” pushbutton:
Parameter Description |
The textual description of the parameter. |
Parameter Type |
The type of the parameter, which could be “Consumption”. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement, if the parameter type "Consumption”. The UOM of the parameter must be same as the UOM of the part specified in the "Part # Used For Fuel" field defined in the “Additional Options” tab of the “Set Options” page of the “Flight Log” business component. |
Click the “Set Base Parameters" pushbutton, to associate the parameter to the base parameter.
