This page allows you to create parameters. Tell me more.

The “Create Parameter” page appears.

Parameter

A unique number that identifies the parameter in the aircraft or its component (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The number must start with an alphabet and it must not contain any special character or blank space as part of the number. This number should be unique for the organizational model.

Parameter Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the parameter, which could be “Attribute”, “Consumption”, “Range”, “Technical”.

 
  • Attribute – Select this option if the parameter assumes one of the values from a pre-defined set of values.

 
  • Consumption – Select this option if the value of the parameter keeps increasing with usage.

 
  • Range – Select this option if the parameter can assume a range of values.

 
  • Technical – Select this option if the parameter provides static information about the equipment.

 

The system sets the field to "Consumption" by default.

Parameter Description

The textual description of the parameter (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory.

Formula #

An identifier for the formula to be associated with the parameter. The formula must have already been defined in the “Formula Builder” business component. Enter this field only when the parameter type is “Consumption”. (Alphanumeric, 20).

Unit of Measurement

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement for the parameter. The system displays the list of UOM defined in the “Create UOM” activity of “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component. Data entry in this field is mandatory when the parameter type is “Range” or “Consumption”.

Formula Content

The contents of the formula entered in the “Formula ID” field.

Note: The system creates parameter and sets the status of the created parameters as "Active". For the “Range” and “Consumption” type parameter the system adds the parameter in the “Formula Builder” component.

Youi can define different types of parameters in this page. You can enter a unique number for the parameter and provide a description for it. If the formula ID is entered, the contents of the formula are displayed as soon as the parameter is created. The system assigns the "Active” status and the parameter creation date and time is set to the server date and time.
