The “Manage Quick Codes” page appears:

Note: On selection of a quick code type the system lists all the quick codes defined under the selected quick code type in the multiline.

Quick Code Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of quick code that you want to maintain. Mandatory.  The system lists the following options:

  • Activity Category - Select this option to maintain quick codes based on grouping of tasks to be performed for example, Inspection, Maintenance.

  • Attendance Type - Select this option to maintain quick codes based on the working hours, for example, Regular, overtime.

  • In-Direct Category - Select this option to maintain quick codes based on indirect tasks, for example, meeting, orientation.

  • Reason Code -  Select this option to maintain quick codes based on reason for booking tasks manually, for example due to illness, vacation.

  • Time Classification - Select this option to maintain quick codes based on the classification to which the time booked belongs like for example Breakcut, non quality.  

  • Time Off Category - Select this option to maintain quick codes based on time taken off duty like for example Doctor Visit, Holiday.

By default the system leaves this field blank.

Quick Code

A unique identifier for the quick code. The system displays all the quick codes as defined for the quick code type. Mandatory.

Note that the system does not allow modification of the value in this field.

Description

A textual description of the quick code. Mandatory.

Note: Ensure that the quick code and its description is unique.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the quick code. The system lists the following options:

  • Active

  • Inactive

The system displays “Active” by default.

Note: The system creates the quick codes and sets the status of the created quick codes as “Active”.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created by

The user who created the quick code.

Created Date

The date on which the quick code was created.

Last Modified by

The user who last modified the quick code.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the quick code was modified last.

Note: The system displays an error message, if any concurrent user tries to modify the details in the multiline.

The system updates the status of the newly created quick code as “Active”.
