Selecting carrier for viewing

This page allows you to search and select a carrier for viewing its details.
Select the “View Carrier” link under the “Carrier” business component.
The “Select Carrier” page appears.
Enter the following fielding the “Direct Entry” group box:

Carrier Code |
The unique code identifying the carrier (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. Ensure that the carried code does not contain space or special characters. The carrier code must be unique in the login organization unit. |
Select the “View Carrier” link alongside to view the carrier details.
Enter the following details in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Carrier Code |
The unique code identifying the carrier (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. Ensure that the carried code does not contain space or special characters. The carrier code must be unique in the login organization unit. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the carrier. The options available are “Active”, “Inactive”, “Cancelled” and “ALL”. |

Carrier Name |
The name of the carrier (Alphanumeric, 25). |
|
Effective From |
The date starting from which, the carrier code becomes effective for recording transactions (Date Format). Mandatory. |
|
Effective To |
The end date till which the carrier code is valid for recording transactions (Date Format). Ensure that this date is later than the “Effective From” date. |

Address ID |
The code identifying the address of the carrier (Alphanumeric, 6). Mandatory. Ensure that the address does not contain any space or special characters. If the specified address ID is present in the “Supplier Master” business component, the corresponding supplier code must be entered in the “Supplier Code” field. |

City |
The name of the city (Alphanumeric, 40). |
|
State |
The name of the state (Alphanumeric, 40). |
|
Zip Code |
The code identifying the area (Alphanumeric, 20). |
|
Transportation Mode |
The code identifying the transportation mode (Alphanumeric, 25). |
|
Delivery Area Code |
The code identifying the area, where the goods are delivered (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Click the “Search” push button to search for carrier details.
The system displays the following carrier details in the “Search Results” multiline.

The code identifying the carrier. |
|
Carrier Name |
The name of the carrier. |
|
City |
The name of the city. |
|
State |
The name of the state. |
|
Country |
The name of the country. |
|
Zip Code |
The code identifying the area. |
|
Address ID |
The code identifying the address of the carrier. |
|
Status |
The status of the carrier. |
|
Reason Code |
The code identifying the reason for which a carrier is activated or deactivated. |

Reason |
The description of the reason code. |

Click the hyperlinked carrier code in the multiline to view the carrier code details.
The Reason Code must be defined in the “Create Category Type” activity of the “Category” business component.
