Maintaining Notification Messages for Flight Operations
Select “Maintain Notification Messages for Flight Operations” link under the “Risk Management” business component.
The “Maintain Notification Messages for Flight Operations” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to retrieve messages of your specification:
Category |
To retrieve notification messages of a specific category, use the drop-down list box to select the category. The drop-down list box displays the Active quick codes defined under the quick code type Message Category in the Manage Quick Code activity of Common Master. |
Effective From Date |
The start date of the period in which the message is valid or binding in the station or the work center. Mandatory. The system retrieves messages binding between Effective From Date and Effective To Date. |
Effective To Date |
The end date of the period in which the message is valid or binding in the station or the work center. The system retrieves messages binding between Effective From Date and Effective To Date. |
Status |
To retrieve notification messages in a specific status, select the status from the drop-down list box. The drop-down list box displays Active and Inactive. |
Regulatory Authority |
To retrieve notification messages published by a specific regulatory authority, use the drop-down list box to select the regulatory authority. The drop-down list box displays the Active quick codes defined under the quick code type Regulatory Authority in the Manage Quick Code activity of Common Master. |
Issue From Date |
To retrieve messages issued in a specific period, specify the start date of the requisite period. Mandatory. The system retrieves messages published between Issue From Date and Issue To Date. |
Issue To Date |
To retrieve messages issued in a specific period, specify the end date of the requisite period. If you do not specify a date in this field, the system defaults Issue To Date as the current system date. The system retrieves messages published between Issue From Date and Issue To Date. |
Role |
To retrieve messages valid for a specific role, select the role from the drop-down list box. The drop-down list box displays the descriptions under process variable "Job Classification" defined in the Maintain Quick Code activity of the “HR General Information” business component under the business process "Unit Structure". |
Work Center # |
To retrieve messages defined for a specific work center, enter the unique identifier for the work center. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays work centers with numbers similar to the value entered here. Note: This field appears only if the process parameter “Maintain and track notification messages at" under the entity type Risk Management and the entity Notification Messages in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master is set as 1 for Work Center. |
Work Center Description |
To retrieve messages defined for a specific work center, enter the description of the work center. You can enter the key word in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the work centers with description similar to the text entered here. Note: This field appears only if the process parameter “Maintain and track notification messages at" under the entity type Risk Management and the entity Notification Messages in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master is set as 1 for Work Center. |
Station # |
To retrieve messages valid for a specific station, select the unique identifier for the reporting station. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays reporting stations with numbers similar to the value entered here. Note: This field appears only if the process parameter “Maintain and track notification messages at" under the entity type Risk Management and the entity Notification Messages in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master is set as 2 for Station. |
Station Name |
To retrieve messages defined for a specific station, enter the description of the station name. You can enter the key word in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the stations with description similar to the text entered here. Note: This field appears only if the process parameter “Maintain and track notification messages at" under the entity type Risk Management and the entity Notification Messages in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master is set as 2 for Station. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display messages and their details in the “Message Details” multiline.
The system displays the following field in the “Message Details” multiline:
Message ID |
The unique identifier for the message assigned by the system upon saving of the new message details. The message ID are generated based on the numbering series defined for the notification messages in the Document Numbering Class business component. |
Enter the following fields:
Ref. No. |
The number assigned to the notification message by the regulatory authority or the source. |
Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the message. The category of the message. The drop-down list box displays the Active quick codes defined under the quick code type Message Category in the Manage Quick Code activity of Common Master. |
Message |
The complete text of the message. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the message. The drop-down list box displays Active or Inactive. |
Issue Date |
The date on which the message was published by the regulatory authority or the source. |
Effective From Date |
The date from which the notification becomes valid or binding on the employees, work center, station and employee. |
Effective To Date |
The date till which the notification remains valid or binding on the employees, work center, station and employee. |
Reg. Auth. |
The regulatory authority or the source that published the notification message or the originator of the message. |
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:
Applicable Role |
The count of roles associated with the message. This field displays the roles mapped to the message in the “Assign Role” page. |
Applicable Work Center |
The count of work centers associated with the message. This field displays the work centers mapped to the message in the “Assign Station/Work Center” page. |
Applicable Station |
The count of stations associated with the message. This field displays the stations mapped to the message in the “Assign Station/Work Center” page. |
Attachment |
The count of files / documents uploaded against the message. |
Click the “Maintain” pushbutton to save the details of the messages.
To proceed carry out the following:
Select the message in the multiline and then perform the following tasks.
Select the “Assign Roles” link to associate the employees to the selected message.
Select the “Assign Station/Work Center” link to station / work center in which the message is valid.
Select the “Upload Documents” link to upload attachments associated with the message to the central repository.
Note: The Upload Documents screen from Object Attachments appears with the Business Component Name field set to "Risk Management" and the Reference Doc# field defaulted to "Notification Messages" and "Message ID".
