Selecting receipts for modification
This page allows you to search and select a customer receipt for modification or deletion. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Receipt” link under the “Customer Receipts” business component.
The “Select Receipt” page appears.
Enter the following field if you are aware of the number identifying the receipt that you want to modify the details:
Receipt No |
The number identifying the receipt for which you want to modify the details (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Note: You cannot delete the receipt number entered here by clicking the “Delete Receipt” pushbutton available in the page.
Select the “Edit Receipt” link provided alongside to modify the receipt details.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to select the receipt for which you want to modify the details. Data-entry in the following fields is optional.
Receipt Route |
Use the drop-down list box to select the way in which the payment has been received from the customer. You can select from “Bank”, “Cash” or “PTT” ”. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |
Receipt Category |
Use the drop-down to select the category to which the receipt belongs from “Regular”, “Deposits”, “Advance” or “All”. |

Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book in which the postings have been made. All the finance books that have been mapped to the login organization unit will be available for selection in the ascending order if postings can be made in multiple finance books. If postings can be made only in a single finance book, the book that has been set as default will be displayed. |
Note: The system displays “All” by default if “Allow Multiple FB Posting” has been set to “Yes”.
Customer Code From |
The starting code in the range of codes identifying the customer on whom the receipt has been raised (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the codes in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the receipts that have been raised on customers whose codes are similar to the value entered here. |
To |
The ending code in the range of codes identifying the customer on whom the receipt has been raised (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the codes in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the receipts that have been raised on customers whose codes are similar to the value entered here. |
User ID |
The login user ID of the person who has raised the receipt (Alphanumeric, 30). The system displays the login ID of the user by default on launch of the page. |
Receipt No From |
The starting number in the range of receipt numbers you want to retrieve for modifying its details (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the receipts that have numbers similar to the value entered here. |
Note: The receipt number entered here must be the same or before the number entered in the “To” field.

The ending number in the range of receipt numbers you want to retrieve for modifying its details (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the receipts that have numbers similar to the value entered here. |
Currency |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the currency in which the receipt has been raised. All the currencies that have been mapped to the customer receivable account in the login organization unit will be available for selection in the alphabetical order. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |
Receipt Amount From |
The starting amount in the range of amounts for which you want to retrieve receipts (Decimal). |
Note: The receipt amount entered here must be lesser than or equal to the amount entered in the “To” field.
To |
The ending amount in the range of amounts up till which you want to retrieve receipts (Decimal). |
Collector Code |
The code identifying the employee who has collected the payment (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the receipts that have customer codes similar to the value entered here. |
Receipt Date From |
The starting date in the range of dates within which the receipt that you want to modify has been raised (Date Format). The system date is displayed by default on launch of the page. |
Note: The receipt date entered here must be before or the same as the date entered in the “To” field.
To |
The ending date in the range of dates within which the receipt that you want to modify has been raised (Date Format). The system date is displayed by default on launch of the page. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the receipt that you want to retrieve from “Draft”, “Fresh”, “Returned” or “All”. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |
Instrument No From |
The starting number in the range of instrument numbers for which receipts have been raised and for which you want to modify the details (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the receipts that have instrument numbers similar to the value entered here. |

The ending number in the range of instrument numbers for which receipts have been raised and for which you want to modify the details (Alphanumeric, 30). Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered:
Note: The system retrieves and displays the receipt numbers that are in the “Fresh”, “Draft” or “Returned” status if the status criteria is selected as “All”.
Receipt Route |
The way in which the payment has been received from the customer. It could be “Bank”, “Cash” or “PTT”. |
Customer Code |
The code identifying the customer. |
Customer Registered At |
The organization unit in which the customer details are available. |
Receipt No |
The number identifying the receipt. |
Receipt Date |
The date on which the receipt was created. |
Currency |
The currency in which the receipt has been raised. |
Receipt Amount |
The amount of the receipt. |
Receipt Category |
The category to which the receipt belongs. |

The status of the receipt. It could be “Draft”, “Fresh” or “Returned”. |

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark receipt numbers for deletion.
Note: At least one receipt must be selected for deletion. You can delete a receipt that is in the “Draft” or “Fresh” status.
Click the “Delete Receipt” pushbutton to delete the selected receipt(s).
Note that workflow has been enabled.
The status of the receipt is updated to “Deleted”.
The system stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified details.
Selecting receipts for modification – An overview
If you know the number identifying the receipt you want to modify, you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the method in which the payment was received, the category to which the receipt belongs and the code identifying the book in which the receipt has been posted. You can search by specifying a range of receipt numbers, receipt amounts and receipt dates within which the receipt falls. You can also search based on the person who has raised the receipt and the person who has collected it. The system retrieves the details of the receipts that are in the “Draft”, “Fresh” or “Returned” status based on the search criteria entered.
This page also allows you to search and mark receipts for deletion. You can delete receipts that are in the “Draft” or “Fresh” status. The status of each of the deleted receipts is updated to “Deleted”. You cannot use the receipt that has been deleted. The system stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified details.
