Using Online Help

This activity allows you to modify the details of a selected quick code. You can modify values of quick codes that are in the “Active” status. This page allows you to select the entity and retrieve all the quick code values that have been created for it. You can modify the description of the quick code and change the value that is to be displayed by default at the launch of the page when this entity is used in other business components. The system stores the login user ID and the system date along with the modified details.

The “Edit Quick Codes” page appears.

Entity

Use the drop-down list box to select the entity for which the quick codes must be modified. You can select from "Addl. Ref.”, “Asset Proposal-User Detail”,  “Bank Type”, “Budget Reference”,   “Company Identification Reference”, “Cost Report Category”, “Expense Category”, “Expense Classification”, “Item ”, "Labour Cost Category" ,”Location Reference”,  “Location Type”, “Mac Allocation Report Type”, “MAC Allocation Run Description”,"Material Costing Overhead Type", "Order Invoice User Detail-1", "Order Invoice User Detail-2", “Policy” , “Prepayment Voucher Category”,  “Product Identification Reference”,"Supplier Debit Credit Notes", “Supply Chain Reference”, "Tax Challan Category", “Tax Identification Reference”, "Remittance Request Category" and “, “Voucher Category”.

 

On selection of the entity the system retrieves the quick codes and the values that have been created for this entity.

The system displays the following in the “Quick Code Details” multiline based on the entity selected:

Quick Code

The unique identifier of the quick code.

Value

A textual description of the quick code (Alphanumeric, 100). Mandatory

Default

Use the drop-down list box to set whether the value must be displayed by default at the launch of the page when this entity is used in other business components. You can select from “Yes” or  “No”.

Note: For an entity you can select “Yes” for only one quick code value.

The system stores the login user ID and the system date along with the modified details.
