Specify Portlets Permissions

This activity allows you to specify the portlet permission to the role – OU combination. You can map the non-permitted portlets or unmap the permitted portlets for the specified role-OU combination.

Select the “Specify Portlets Permissions” link under the “Portlet Mapping” business component.

The “Specify Portlets Permissions” page appears.

Enter the following details in the header:

Role Name	Use the drop-down list box to select the role name for specifying the portlets permission.
OU Name	Use the drop-down list box to select the organization unit name for specifying the portlets permission.
Access Rights Filter	Use the drop-down list box to select the filter for accessing the rights of the portlets. The combo is loaded with “Fetch Permitted Portlets” and “Fetch Non Permitted Portlets”. The system displays “Fetch Permitted Portlets” by default on launch of the page.

Click the “Fetch” pushbutton to retrieve the portlet details for specifying the permission to role-OU combination.

The system retrieves and displays the following details in the multiline.

Name Space ID	A unique number identifying the portlet.
Portlet Name	The portlet name to be permitted or non-permitted to the role – OU combination.
Description	The description of portlet name.

Enter the following details in the multiline:

Associate

Select the check box to associate the permitted and non-permitted portlets to the role-OU combination.

Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the associated portlet details.
