Help on Rule ID

This page allows you to search for Rule ID.

The search can be carried out using the Rule Desc., Rule Status, Allocation Type, Allocation Category and User Id. The system retrieves all the Rule ID, based on the search criteria entered. On confirmation, the selected Rule ID is transferred to the required page.

Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Rule ID” field in the “Maintain Allocation and Distribution Rules” activity of the “Journal Voucher” business component.

The “Help on Rule ID” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the Rule ID:

Rule ID	The code identifying the Rule for which the details are to be retrieved.
Rule Desc.	The description of the Rule ID.
Rule Status	Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the Rule ID. The system lists the values ‘Active’, ‘Inactive’ and ‘All’. The system displays the value ‘All’, by default.
Effective On	The date from which the Rule ID is effective. The system leaves the field blank, by default.
Allocation Type	Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the Allocation Rule. The system lists all the quick codes defined under the Entity ‘Allocation Type’ in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the “Quick Codes” business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default.
Allocation Category	Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the Allocation Category. The system lists all the quick codes defined under the Entity ‘Allocation Category’ in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the “Quick Codes” business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default.
User Id	The login ID of the user who created the Rule ID for which you wish to retrieve the details. The system retrieves all the Rule ID created by the users specified here.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the search criteria entered.

Rule ID	The code identifying the Rule ID.
Rule Description	The description of the Rule ID.
Effective From	The date from which the Allocation Rule is effective.
Effective To	The date until which the Allocation Rule is effective.
Status	The status of the Allocation Rule.
Allocation Type	The type of the Rule ID.
Allocation Category	The category of the Rule ID.

Check the box in the multiline to select the Rule ID.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
