Convert Memorandum Voucher – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to convert the memorandum voucher created for the simulation purpose, to a regular journal voucher. You can convert the memorandum voucher to a voucher in “Fresh” status. You can also authorize the voucher that has been converted. You can view the original memorandum voucher details. You can also view the accounting information of the converted voucher. You can modify the vouchers in “Fresh” status before authorization.
The system updates status of the original voucher to “Converted” after conversion. The system creates a new “Regular” journal voucher in “Fresh” or “Authorized” status.

Convert memorandum voucher in batch
The memorandum voucher can be converted to a “Regular” journal voucher in batch.
Go to “Select Memorandum Voucher” page.
Specify the numbering pattern in which the voucher number has to be generated.
Retrieve the memorandum voucher based on the search criteria.
Select the vouchers in the multiline and create a voucher in “Fresh”/ “Authorized” mode.
The system generates a unique number for the voucher based on the numbering type selected. The system updates the status of the original voucher, which is taken up for conversion to “Converted”.
Create voucher in “Authorized” mode
The new regular journal voucher can be created in the “Authorized” mode.
Go to “Select Memorandum Voucher” page or “Convert Memorandum Voucher to Regular Voucher” page.
Create the voucher in the authorized mode.
The system updates the status of the regular journal voucher to “Authorized”. The system updates the status of the original voucher, which is taken up for conversion to “Converted”. The system updates the creation history of both the original voucher and new regular voucher.
User defined number for the voucher
The voucher number generated can also be user defined.
Go to “Convert Memorandum Voucher to Regular Voucher” page.
Specify the voucher number for the “Regular” journal voucher.
Modify journal voucher before authorization
The regular journal voucher details can be modified before authorization.
Go to “Convert Memorandum Voucher to Regular Voucher” page.
Create the regular journal voucher in the “Fresh” mode.
Select the “Edit Journal Voucher” link at the bottom of the page to modify the voucher details before authorization.
