Ensure that you are in the "Edit Course" page.

The following fields are displayed, which cannot be edited.

Date Format

The date format applicable to the login user.

Training General Information Unit

The training general information unit selected in the previous page.

Course Code

The code that identifies the course.

You can edit the following fields:

Course Short Description

A brief and unique description of the course code.  This is mandatory.

Course Long Description

A detailed description of the course code.

Inactive

Select this checkbox, if you want this course to be currently inactive.

Course Type

The type of the course.  You can select the required value from the drop-down list box.

Course Category

From the drop-down list box, select the category of the course, such as core, functional, etc.

Objectives of Course

The objectives of course are specified. It has been provided with an  icon.  On selecting the icon, a dialog box appears in which  you can edit the objectives of the course and select the “Ok” pushbutton to save the details.

Course Duration

The total duration of the course.  The duration of the course must be mentioned in hours. 

Maximum Trainees

The maximum number of trainees for a batch.  For example, a training program can accommodate 20 trainees in a particular batch.

Minimum Trainees

The minimum of trainees required for commencing any training program.  For example, a training program can accommodate 20 trainees, but it needs a minimum of 10 trainees to start the training program.            

Training Information Links

The links that are provided to the trainees to view the training information  and the materials  required for the training.

Other Training Material

The training materials available to the trainees apart from the training information links. It has been provided with an  icon.  On selecting the icon, a dialog box appears.  You can edit the details about the available training materials .  After entering the details, select the “Ok” pushbutton to save the details.

Test Required

Select this checkbox, if the employee is required to pass the test to qualify the course.

Sponsorship Mandatory

Select this checkbox, if the sponsorship for enrollment to the course is essential.

Certificate Given

Select this checkbox, if a certificate must be issued to any employee qualifying the course.  

 

To modify the competency details

Edit the following in the “Competencies Acquired” multiline.

Competency Code

The unique code of the competency. Help feature available.

Impact Level

The significance of the competency in numbers.

On selecting the “Competency code”, the following detail is displayed in the multiline.

Competency Description

The description of the competency.

 

To modify the details for applicable positions

You can edit the following details in the “Applicable Positions” multiline.

 Position Code

The unique code of the course.

Help Available

 Course Mandatory

From the drop-down list box, select:

  • “Yes”  to indicate the course is essential for the specified position.   

 

  •  “No” to indicate the contrary

Automatic Sponsorship

From the drop-down list box, select

  •  “Yes” to indicate sponsorship for enrollment to the course is not necessary and is carried out by the system automatically.

 

  • "No" to indicate sponsorship by the  supervisor or concerned authority is essential for enrollment to the course.

Completion Period (Months)

The length of the course in months.

 Enter the following details on the space required for conducting the course.

Room Setup Style

From the drop down list box, select the type of room required for the course.

Room Setup Details

A detailed description of the setup of the room.

To modify the equipment details

Enter the following details in the "Equipment Details" group box.

Equipment

From the drop down list box, select the equipment required for the course.

Required Number

The numbers of equipment required for the course.

Comments

Any remarks pertaining to the course.

To edit comments /room setup details

Select the book icon beside the “Comments”/"Room Setup Details" field. The system displays a dialog box containing the comments that were entered previously, if any.

You can view, modify or delete the content.

Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the details and return to the previous page.

Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page without saving the details entered.

To delete the course

Select the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the course record.

To save course details

Select the “Save” pushbutton.

To proceed:

Select the “Test Required" link to specify the details of tests for qualifying the course.
