the left pane.
The “Create Course” page appears.
The
system displays the following :
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user.

To create a course, enter the following:
Training General Information Unit |
Select the organization unit in which you must create the course. |
Course Code |
A unique code to define the course. This is a mandatory field. |
Course Short Description |
The short description of the course. This is a mandatory field. |
Course Long Description |
The detailed description of the course. |
Inactive |
Select this check box to make the course unavailable or dormant. |
Course Type |
The type of the course. It can be technical, non-technical, behavioral or any other. Since it has more than one value, by default, the system displays, “Select” in the drop-down list box. You can select the required value from the drop-down list box. |
Course Category |
From the drop-down list box, select the category of the course, such as core, functional, etc. |
Objectives Of Course |
The objectives of course. |
Course Duration |
The duration of the course in hours. |
Maximum Trainees |
The maximum number of trainees permitted for the course at a time. For example, a training program can accommodate up to 20 trainees. |
Minimum Trainees |
The minimum of number of trainees required for the course. For example, a training program can accommodate 20 trainees, but it needs a minimum of 10 trainees to start the training course. |
Training Information Links |
The links that are provided to the trainees to view the training information and the materials required for the training. |
Other Training Material |
The training materials available to the trainees apart from the training information links. |
Test Required |
Select this checkbox, if the employee is required to pass the test to qualify the course. |
Sponsorship Mandatory |
Select this checkbox, if the sponsorship for this course is mandatory. |
Certificate Required |
Select this checkbox, if a certificate is to issued to any employee qualifying the course. |
Enter the following in the “Competencies
Acquired” multiline.
Competency Code |
The unique code of the competency that is imparted to the employee by the course. Help Available |
On selecting the “Competency Code”, the description of the competency is displayed in the multiline.
Impact Level
|
The impact level of the competencies is defined in this field. It takes only numeric values. |
Enter the following in the “Applicable Positions”
multiline.
Position Code |
The unique code of the course. Help Available |
Position Title |
The short description of the position occupied by the employee. |
On selecting the “Position Code”, the title of the position is displayed in the multiline.
Course Mandatory |
From the drop-down list box, select

Automatic Sponsorship |

Completion Period (Months) |
The length of the course in months. |
Enter
the following details on the space required for conducting the course.
Room Setup Style |
From the drop down list box, select the type of room required for the course. |
Room Setup Details |
A detailed description of the setup of the room. |
Enter the following details in the "Equipment
Details" group box.
Equipment |
From the drop down list box, select the equipment required for the course. |
Required Number |
The numbers of equipment required for the course. |
Comments |
Any remarks pertaining to the course. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details entered.
Select the
book icon beside the “Comments”/"Room Setup Details"
field. The system displays a dialog box containing the text that was entered
previously, if any.
You can view, modify or delete the content.
Select the “OK” pushbutton to save the
details and return to the previous page.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the
previous page without saving the details entered.
Select the “Test Required" link to specify the details of tests for qualifying the course.
