Component

The description of the component for which you want to set process parameters. The system lists in the drop-down list box, all the employee induction components for which process parameters can be set. From the drop-down list box, select the required value.

Parameter

The parameter you want to set for the selected component. For example, if the component selected is “Competency”, the system lists in this drop-down list box all the process parameters that you can set for that component viz., if the competencies should be defined at the element level or otherwise, the maximum value that can be set to the competencies etc. In the same way, if you select “Employee Movements” component, you can set “Allow For Demotion” parameter as “Yes” or “No” to facilitate performing demotion for an employee.

Value

The value you want to assign to the specified parameter for the selected component. For example, if you select “Employee Movements” from the “Component” drop-down list box, the system lists in the “Parameter” drop-down list box, the predefined parameters for the “Employee Movements” component viz., “Allow For Demotion”.

The system lists in this drop-down list box, the values you are to assign to the selected parameter viz., “Yes” or “No”. If you select “Yes”, the system facilitates performing demotion for employees while using the “Employee Movements” component, if you select “No”, demotion cannot be performed.
