Evaluating a suggestion
Select the hyperlink on the required suggestion number from the multiline from the “Select Suggestion for Administration” page.
The “Suggestion Administration” page appears.
The system displays the following.
Date format |
The date format as applicable to the login user. Tell me more |
SSS Administration Unit |
The organization unit selected in the previous page. Tell me more |
Suggestor |
The employee code and name of the suggestor/employee who made the suggestion. |
Employment Unit |
The name of the employment unit of the suggestor. |
Department |
The department to which the suggestor belongs. |
Job Title |
The job title of the suggestor. |
Position Title |
The position title of the suggestor. |
Grade Set |
The grade set of the suggestor. |
Grade |
The grade of the suggestor. |
Submission Date |
The date on which the suggestor/employee’s suggestion is submitted. |
Action Status |
The status of the suggestion. It can be one of the following:

Suggestion No. |
The unique number that identifies a suggestion submitted by an employee. |
The system displays the following in the “Co-Suggestor (S)” multiline.
Employee Code |
The code of the co-suggestor. |
Employee Name |
The name of the co-suggestor. |
Employment Unit |
The name of the employment unit of the co-suggestor. |
Department |
The department to which the co-suggestor belongs. |
Job Title |
The job title of the co-suggestor. |
Position Title |
The position title of the co-suggestor. |
Grade Set |
The grade set of the co-suggestor. |
Grade |
The grade of the co-suggestor. |
The system displays the following.
Suggestion Area |
The suggestion area for which the employee’s suggestion is to be recorded. For example, Finance Related, Training, Work Condition, Office Procedures, etc. |
Why Suggestion Is Made / Existing Situation |
The reason for the suggestion that the employee makes. A description of the existing situation is also given. Double-click the book icon beside to view the entire description. |
Suggestion for Improvement |
The suggestion given for improving the existing situation. Double-click the book icon beside to view the entire description. |
The system displays the following in the “Tangible Benefits” group box.
Manpower Savings |
The numeric value that will denote the savings on manpower in terms of Man-Month(S). |
Cost Savings ($) |
The numeric value that will denote the savings on cost in terms of Singapore dollars per year. |
Faster Processing Time |
The numeric value that will denote the comparative higher speed of the existing processing time in terms of Day(S). |
Others (If Any) |
The other benefits specified, if any. Double-click the book icon beside to view the entire description. |
The system displays the following.
Intangible Benefits |
The benefits of implementing the suggestion that is indefinite in terms of measurement. Double-click the book icon beside to view the entire description. |
Can You Self Implement |
“Yes” is displayed, if the employee can initiate to implement the suggestion otherwise “No” is displayed. |
Specify the following details.
The action status of the specific suggestion. The action status will be one of the following values:

Reason for not Implementing |
The reason for not implementing the suggestion made by the employee. This is mandatory, if the action status is “Not To Be Implemented”. |

Manpower Savings |
The numeric value that will denote the savings on manpower in terms of Man-Month(S). |
Cost Savings ($) |
The numeric value that will denote the savings on cost in terms of Singapore dollars per year. |

The other benefits that you want to specify, if any. The text entered must not exceed 50 characters. |
Intangible Benefits |
The benefits of implementing the suggestion that is indefinite in terms of measurement. This is mandatory, if the action status is “To Be Implemented”. The text entered must not exceed 500 characters. |
Comments / Followup Actions |
Any comments about the suggestion and the actions to be taken. |
Specify the following in the “Awards” group box.
Awards ($) |
The numeric value that will denote the prize amount in terms of Singapore dollars and will be paid to the employee for his/her suggestion. This amount is paid to the employee through payroll. |
Others (If Any) |
Any other award that is to be given apart from the cash award, if any. To enter text that exceeds the available space, do the following:

Note: The cash award is paid only to the employee who has made the specific suggestion and not the co-suggestors.
To forward a suggestion to another coordinator

Select the “Submit” pushbutton.
The system submits the suggestion that is evaluated for further action.
