4 The system displays the Select Security Group page.
To select through direct entry
4 Enter the complete code of the security group in the Security Group Code field.
4 Select the Edit Security Group hyperlink beside. The system displays the Edit Security Group page.
To select through search criteria
4 Use the Search Criteria fields to specify search parameters for the security group details. The system displays the records that match the combination of search criteria specified to the multiline in the page.
4 Select the hyperlink in the Short Description column of the required record in the multiline. The system displays the Edit Security Group page.
4 The system displays the following details at the top of the page.
Security Group Code |
The unique code of the security group. |
4 You can edit the following details of the security group.
Security Group Short Description |
A brief description of the security group. |
Security Group Long Description |
A more elaborate description of the security group. |
Inactive |
Indicate if the security group details should be active and available for use in other components or otherwise.

To define a new rule based on which the security group should be constituted
4 Select the Define Rule hyperlink.
4 The system displays the Maintain Stored Procedure page which you can use to define a new rule.
To edit the users who should constitute the security group
4 The system displays in the Group Details multiline, the details of the users mapped to the selected security group.
4 You can edit the details of the existing users.
To specify a new rule based on which the security group should be constituted.
4 Specify the required rule in the Rule field.
4 Select the Get Users pushbutton beside.
4 The system displays in the Group Details multiline, the details of the users who match the specified rule.
4 You can also specify the following details in the multiline.
User Name |
The user name of the user. Note that the user name can be different from his/her actual name. Help available |
Login Role |
The login role of the user. |
Business Process Chain |
The description of the business process applicable to the user. From the drop-down list box, select the required option. |
Basis |
The criterion based on which the user is being associated with the security group. |
Inactive |
Indicate if the user membership in the security group should be active or inactive. If you make it inactive, the access permissions given at a later point of time to the user will not be applicable to him/her.

Employee Code |
The unique code to identify the employee. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Comments |
Any additional comments with regard to the details. |
4 Select the Book icon beside the comments field.
4 The system displays a dialog box in which you can enter the comments
4 Select the Ok pushbutton to save the comments and close the dialog box.
4 Select the Cancel pushbutton to close the dialog box without saving the details.
4 Select the Save pushbutton to save the details.
4 Click in the Select column of the multiline corresponding to the user to be deleted.
4 Select the Delete pushbutton at the bottom of the page.
