4 The “Select Security Group” page appears.
4 Select the required security group to edit either from the “Direct Entry” or “Search Criteria” option.
Use this method if you know the complete code of the security group.
4 Enter the complete code of the security group you want to edit in the “Security Group Code” field.
4 Select the “Edit Security Group” hyperlink beside.
4 The “Edit Security Group” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.

Use this method, if you know only a few characters of the security group code. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the security group code contains. Optionally, you can enter the security group short and long description, user name and login role fields, to narrow your search. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
4 Enter the following search criteria values in some or all of the following fields.
Security Group Code |
To view all the security group codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these security group codes. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. To get SCG07, type in S*, to search for those security group codes that start with SCG. |
Security Group Short Description |
To view all the security group short description containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these descriptions. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. Managers*, will search for those descriptions that start with Managers, for example, “Managers”. |
Security Group Long Description |
To view all the security group long description containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these descriptions. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. Managers*, will search for those descriptions that start with Managers, for example, “Managerial Users in the Marketing Department etc”. |
User Name |
To view all the user names containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these user names. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example. To get Jonathan, type in JO*, to search for those employee names that start with JO. Other examples are *NATHAN, JO*AN, and JONATH*. |
Login Role |
The description of the login roles based on which you want to search for the required records. |

4 The system displays the following details in the multiline for the security group records that satisfy the combination of search criteria specified.
Security Group Code |
The unique code of the security group. |
Security Group Short Description |
The short description of the security group. |
Security Group Long Description |
The long description of the security group. |
User Name |
The name of the user who belongs to the security group. |
Login Role |
The login role of the user. |
4 Select the hyperlink on the short description of the required record in the multiline.
4 The system displays the “Edit Security Group” page which you can use to edit the details.
