To select through direct entry
4 Enter the complete name of the user in the “User Name” field.
4 Select the “View User Permissions” hyperlink beside. The system displays the “View User Permissions” page.
To select through search criteria
4 Use the “Search Criteria” fields to specify search parameters for the user details. The system displays the records that match the combination of search criteria specified to the multiline in the page.
4 Select the hyperlink in the “User Name” column of the required record in the multiline. The system displays the “View User Permissions” page.
4 The system displays the following details at the top of the page.
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. More Details |
User Name |
The user name you selected in the “Select User for Security Definitions” page. |
Login Role |
The description of the role of the user for which access permissions have been set. |
4 Select the required login role from the drop-down list box.
Business Process Chain |
The business process for which access permissions have been set for the specified user-role combination. |
4 Select the required business process from the drop-down list box.
Permissions To |
Indicate if the type of permissions set for the specified user-role-business process chain combination. |

Rule |
The description of the rule based on which access permissions have been granted to the specified user-role-business process chain combination. |
4 Select the “View Rule” hyperlink beside.
4 The system displays the “Stored Procedure Details” page which you can use to view the details of the rule.
4 You can use the following fields to view the scope of the access permissions set for the user.
All Employees |
Indicates that the user has been given access permissions for all employees for the specified user-role-business process chain combination. |
All Reporting Employees |
Indicates that the user has been given access permissions for all reporting employees for the specified user-role-business process chain combination. |
Level of Span of Control |
The level in the hierarchy till which the user has been given permissions on employees, for example, one or two levels below him/her in the organizational hierarchy etc. |
Exclude Self |
Indicates if access permissions given to the user are inclusive or exclusive of the permissions for his/her own details. |
4 You can use the “User Permissions” multiline to view the details of the access permissions set for the user.
Employment Unit |
The description of the employment unit for which access permissions are set for the user. |
Department |
The description of the department for which access permissions are set for the user, for example, HR, Marketing etc. If the system parameter 'Organization structure based on department hierarchy' is set to 'Yes', display the columns Hierarchy code and chain number in the grid. |

The hierarchy code of the primary hierarchy to which the department belongs |
Chain No. |
The chain number in the hierarchy which is being selected |
Job Title |
The title of the job for which access permissions are set for the user. |
Job Level From |
The code of the job level from which the user has access permissions. |
Job Level To |
The code of the job level till which the user has access permissions. |
Grade Set |
The grade set for which the user has access permissions. |
Grade |
The grade for which the user has access permissions. |
Work Location |
The description of the work location for which the user has access permissions. |
Business Unit |
The description of the business unit for which the user has access permissions. |
Include |
Indicates if the employee set applicable to the details specified in the corresponding multiline row is included in the permissions set for the user or otherwise. |

“Yes”, indicates that all the employee assignment records that satisfy the values specified in the corresponding row are included. |

“No”, indicates that all the employee assignment records that satisfy the values specified in the corresponding row are not included. |
