EEA2 - Employment equity reports – A summary of the activity
Through this activity, you can generate the ”EEA2” and the ”EEA2A” statutory reports.
EEA2A employment equity report: These reports must be submitted by all the small employers of the Employment Equity act, to the Department of Labour. The system generates the following details.
The section education and training authority to which the employee belongs.
The summary of the occupational categories available in EEA10 of the Regulations, such as “Professionals” and “Clerks”.
The total number of employees in each occupational level.
The qualitative assessment of the employer, such as awareness of employment equity, and consultation.
Note that EEA2 report is meant for the employers with the “Others” business type.
Inputs for the report: For generating the ”EEA2” and the ”EEA2A” report, you must record the following details.
The reporting unit for the report.
The code of the actuals of the employment equity.
Specify display for the report: For the EEA2 and the EEA2A report, you can specify the display format for the date and the employee’s name.
Example1: You can select the display format of the date as DD-MM-YYYY format, which is the date, month, year format or MM-DD-YYYY format which is the month, date and year format.
Example2: You can specify the employee name to be displayed in the first, middle and last name format or last, first and middle name format.
EEA2 employment equity report: These reports have to be submitted by small employer or other employers of the Employment Equity act to the Department of Labour.
The system generates the following details.
The summary of the occupational categories available in EEA10 of the Regulations, such as “Professionals” and “Clerks”.
The workforce movement, such as, recruitment and promotion of the employees.
The disciplinary action taken against the employee.
The skills development, which consists of the training programs conducted for the employees.
The qualitative assessment of the employer, such as awareness of employment equity, and consultation.
Note that EEA2 report is meant for the employers with the “Others” business type.
Inputs for the report: For generating the ”EEA2” and the ”EEA2A” report, you must record the following details.
The reporting unit for the report.
The code of the actuals of the employment equity.

The employer details such as the name of the employer, employer’s registration number, UIF number, industry sector, address details of the employer and the date on which the report is submitted.
The workforce profile such as the total number of employees with disabilities in each occupational category, the total number of employees with disabilities in each occupational level categorized as permanent and non-permanent employee across race and gender for a date.
The workforce movement details such as the employees recruited, promoted, terminated across the occupational level is categorized under permanent and non-permanent employee across race and gender, for a date.
The disciplinary action taken for a specific race and gender of the employees.
The skills development details such as the training undertaken by the permanent and non-permanent employees across occupational categories, race and gender of the employees.
Qualitative assessment details such as the stakeholders consulted for the equity plan, barriers identified and affirmative action measure that were implemented.
The EEA2A Report displays information such as:
The employer details such as the name of the employer, employer’s registration number, UIF number, industry sector, address details of the employer and the date on which the report is submitted.
The organization’s SETA Code or Sector Education and Training Authority.
The workforce profile such as the total number of employees with disabilities in each occupational category, the total number of employees with disabilities in each occupational level categorized as permanent and non-permanent employee across race and gender for a date.
Qualitative assessment details such as indications for the extent of the awareness measures implemented in the organization, stakeholders consulted for the equity plan, barriers identified and the affirmative action measures that were implemented.

What you can do in this activity
Generate the EEA2 and the EEA2A reports
The employer is identified as a small employer if the employer has either 150 employees or lesser than 150 employees working under them.
The employer is identified as others if the employer has more than 150 employees working under them. Those employers who have lesser than 150 employees and meet the minimum turnover criteria specified in the Schedule 4 of the “Employment Equity” act are also classified under the “Others” employer business type.
