Getting Help on user name
Select the help icon positioned in the “User Name” column header of the multiline.
The system will launch the “Help on User-Role” page.
The system will display the following field.

To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the user name or the role. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the user name or role. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter both or one of the following fields in the ‘Search Criteria’ box.
User |
To view the user names containing specific characters, enter the starting character or characters of the user name. |
Alternatively, enter the characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, Smi* will search for those user names that start with “Smi”. | |
Role |
To view the role names containing specific characters, enter the starting character or characters of these roles. Alternatively, enter the characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, Admin* will search for those roles that start with Admin. Other examples are *dmin and Ad*n, . |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search
criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy
this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected payroll definitions unit
The system will display all the records satisfying the search criteria, in the multiline.
The multiline displays the following.
User Name |
The list of users for the component. |
Role |
The role of the user. |
From the displayed records, select the required one in the check box and select the “OK” pushbutton.
The selected user’s name and role will be displayed in the “User Name” and “Role” fields.
